[1994-06-24-ECW-Hostile City Showdown] Cactus Jack vs Sabu
This was terrible. I expected a Samoa Joe/Necro Butcher type start and instead got a sub par junior heavyweight match for the first ten minutes. The brawling here was aimless and lacked any intensity. The big spots have been done better multiple times elsewhere.

[1994-06-23-WCW-Clash of the Champions XXVII] Ric Flair vs Sting
It is going to be tough to be objective with all the Hogan stuff because you know how much shit lasted till mid - 96 but I am trying to watch everything like it is the first time. The match was almost strictly a vehicle to get Flair booed for the Hogan run in. Flair does an admirable job and when Hogan comes down at the end, he gets a big pop and the crowd is jacked. I was really frustrated with Sting no selling in this match and the SHerri turn was stupid as hell, did her a Flair decide that Sting would try to fly outside at one point right where she would be standing? Anyway it does feel like the end of an era as everything important with the company now is emphasized through Hogan.

[1994-06-20-WWF-Raw] King's Court: Duke Droese
Yeah pretty bad to come from the KOTR main event to getting Duke as your next assignment. It didnt take long for Duke to fall out of favor with the crowd because he comes out to almost not reaction and only gets one when he insults Jerry. Decent beatdown at the end by lawler but I was not excited watching this.

[1994-06-18-WCW-Saturday Night] Interview: Ric Flair
I still think Flair is showing good fire here and I would put this promo up against any from the Steamboat feud. I thought it was great.

[1994-06-18-WCW-Saturday Night] Interview: Arn Anderson & Dustin Rhodes
Pretty weird that Arn needs four days to mull it over, that would be suspicious to me if I was Dustin. Dustin fumbled over his words a good bit here too.

[1994-06-18-WCW-Saturday Night] Ray Traylor and the Guardian Angels
My favorite segment of these so far with Ray being sworn into the angels and he seems to be taking it real serious. I also liked his explanation of why he turned to them after being stripped of the Boss name.

[1994-06-18-USWA-TV] Music Video: Brian Christopher / Interview: Brian Christopher
Was this song even a hit, I don't think I have ever heard it. Seeing this song after the Coolio one with Public Enemy makes USWA feel real out of date. Christopher cuts a real good promo backstage. Good studio beatdown handed out on Christopher.

Seeing Memphis phase in some new talent. PG -13 does an ok job as babyfaces here but they were born to play heels.

[1994-06-18-WWF-Superstars] WWF Hall of Fame ceremony footage
Agreed that is was nice to see the HOF have such humble beginnings and some would say this was a more genuine appreciation for past performers. Cool segment.

[1994-06-16-WWF-King of the Ring] Owen Hart vs Razor Ramon
Hearing Art again made me seek out youtube and thankfully there is a twelve minute video of his greatness on this PPV. God only knows how frustrated Randy and Gorilla were at the end of the night. The story of the Anvil turn was actually really clever but the match here didn't deliver and was disappointing given it was one of Owen's showcase moments.

[1994-06-16-WWF-King of the Ring] Bret Hart vs Diesel
Sort of sad to revisit one of my favorite matches as a kid and see it doesn't hold up as I had a lot of problems with this. First, Bret's promo was pretty bad before this as he almost had a I just kicked your leg out of your leg moment. Second, who the hell thought this commentary team would be good. Art asks if Shawn Michaels is a wrestler and is demanding to know if each guy played football. Thankfully he toned it down some once the match started. Gorilla was not as his worst here but didn't do great chastising Bret for going for the sharpshooter too early and yelling at the referee for counting Diesel's shoulders even though they were down in the figure four. The main problem I have with this though is how Diesel was treated. He may have been in over his head being in this marquee a match so soon but he did a decent job. His selling of the punches where he falls on the ropes is great. I thought many sections in this match were too even. Bret dominates the beginning minutes way too much for my liking and I don't think Bret should have been going toe to toe and actually gaining the advantage through punches against Diesel. Shawn takes the same great bump he took in the Razor/ Diesel title change. The ending did make Diesel look relatively strong as he layed Bret out with the Jack knife but I thought it was too little too late to save the punishment he received in the previous 20 minutes.
