[1996-10-14-WWF-Raw] Mankind vignette
I am really enjoying this build and the stuff with the rain certainly added to the creepiness factor.

[1996-10-13-JWP-The Ryogoku Big Project] Devil Masami & Kyoko Inoue vs Dynamite Kansai & Aja Kong
I enjoyed this a good deal too. Aja and Dynamite are such a kick ass tag team and work well together to bring the force to Kyoko and Devil. Devil held her own and was the OG bully so it was nice to see her more in a sympathetic role here. Aja takes a scary spill to the outside as Dynamite keeps looking for the Splash Mounting from the top rope. Kyoko is able to hit a DDT and when Aja accidentally clotheslines Dynamite, Kyoko gets another nearfall on a powerbomb. Powebomb and legdrop combo gets 2.9 count. One last powerbomb finally puts Kansai away which felt well earned. ***1/2

[1996-10-13-JWP-The Ryogoku Big Project] Great Sasuke & Tiger Mask IV & Hikari Fukuoka & Hiroumi Yagi vs Super Delphin & Gran Naniwa & Candy Okutsu & Commando Bolshoi
Holy shit, what a fun match. All of these eight people worked hard and the interaction of Delphin using the comedy was really endearing. I voted for El Samurai as #99 in GWE but I am wondering if that spot should have went to Delphin based on his 2000 stuff and the versatility he showed here. Bolshoi is also someone that doesn't crop up all too often in the 90's stuff we watch but when she does, she always adds something to the match. A really strong showcase to fill out this JWP card. ***1/2

[1996-10-11-WAR-Osaka Crush Night] Genichiro Tenryu vs Great Muta
A match that is visual eye candy throughout the duration. From Muta giving a Kubuki esque performance of mystique and evil to the bloody and grizzled Tenryu not giving it up, all of this felt epic and well earned for the 17 minutes it occurred. Much like the Onita death matches, it was a spectacle but also hit on an emotional chord you didn't expect and doesn't leave the viewer's mind quickly. The mist was utilized really well here and I loved Tenryu fighting through to win with a big powerbomb. ****1/4

[1999-09-20-WWF-Raw] Interview: The Rock & Mankind
Awesome segment for Rock n Sock and it was shortish too so it didn't derail the show. This worked for me on all levels.

[1993-10-30-NWA-Bensalem Bash] Terry Funk vs Ted DiBiase
Really mundane action that left my mind as soon as the match was over. Dibiase just seemed shot physically and completely mentally checked out. He looked easily like an elder statesmen the next year in the WWF program. Curtis didn't get involved much at all until the end where he takes a bating from Funk. **1/2

[1993-10-30-SMW-TV] Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies / Interview: Brian Lee & Tammy Fytch
I didn't think Cornettes promo was that great as it feels like the Bodies are kind of in between a few different things. Del Ray is hilarious mocking the booze brothers. Brian Lee and Tammy promo was good as they talk about how they don't need Wright anymore but will miss the credit card. DWB chases them off with a chair. The DWB promo was awesome where he says he is no longer speaking as a DWB from NYC but from Bucksnort Tenn to a huge pop. I love this feud.

[1993-10-30-SMW-TV] Dirty White Boy vs Brian Lee
A really strong tv match. Lee and DWB work well together and the punches and ebb and flow was solid. The angle afterwards with Wright was incredible as they have built his wheelchair and mobility up so much that him getting up to save DWB was a great moment. Lee did good coming down with the bombs away on the knee. SMW is strong around this time even with the Bodies involved in a B feud. ***

[1993-10-30-USWA-TV] Interview: PG-13 / Brian Christopher vs Wolfie D
Really enjoyed this studio match. Both guys worked hard and had a few minutes to stretch out things while Midget D and JC iCe were entertaining on commentary. Finish is predictable but it kept things moving along and it feels like this was a pretty solid episode of USWA overall even if we didn't get any highlights of WWF vs Memphis. **3/4

[1993-10-30-USWA-TV] Interview: Jeff Jarrett & Brian Christopher
These two on the same page seems odd and not knowing how this plays out, I am unsure if the way Too Sexy is acting is intentional or not. I do like happy babyface Jeff.

[1999-09-20-WWF-Raw] Vince McMahon, Steve Austin, HHH and Shane McMahon
It is kind of interesting that prior to WM 17, Austin and Vince did have these little extended moments of being on the same page. This was a good opening segment that didn't overstay its welcome and got a lot across heading into Unforgiven even if they fine print reinstatement of Vince was pretty paper thin.

[1993-10-30-WWF-Superstars] Tatanka vs Ludvig Borga
The action wasn't great but not awful. The chair shot was a little much as Tatanka was unconscious forever. This works at putting over Borga as he still pins him with one finger. I liked the camera angle of Lex in the back trying to get into the ring only to be stopped by the Quebeccers. Yokozuna continues to show up in the hottest angles in the company to show he is the ace heel.

[1999-09-20-WCW-Nitro] Ric Flair vs DDP
For a mostly garbage style brawl between these two, it wasn't that bad. It does look like DDP really deteriorated as a worker from early 99 until now and beyond. The finish kept things moving along with Lex, Sting, Hogan all getting involved. Sting as lead heel was never going to work in the long term. **3/4

[1999-09-20-WCW-Nitro] Sting vs Chris Benoit
Really strong match that showed Benoit could hang with the main event players. I don't think Sting was Mr. heel here until the ending but he did do enough heelish type stuff to keep things moving along throughout the match even if some of the crowd didn't get the memo. In addition, I thought he did a good job feeding into Benoit to where some of the nearfalls felt like a legit chance at them changing the title onto Benoit. Crap finish drops this slightly but another strong tv match for WCW in 1999. ***3/4

[1999-09-19-ECW-Anarchy Rulz] Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka vs Taz
Promo starts out that results in a 3 way dance. The match starts and within 3 minutes, Taz is eliminated. A good shock value and one that when it happened, I was all in for as something different. I think Paul E and the locker room emptying out was a nice touch. Awesome vs Tanaka have the "good" version of their match. With the huge crowd and the backdrop of the title hanging in the balance, the table spots and big moves work better in this context as they hold some gravity. Awesome bomb through table for the win was built up and got a huge reaction. This was a big moment that held up fairly well. ***1/2

[1993-10-29-AAA-Sin Limite] El Hijo del Santo vs Heavy Metal
I agree with PeteF that this was the 2nd best match of the series so far. Some great matwork throughout and Metal hung in there with Santo well. I do see what Loss was saying about the match being kind of tough to gauge from a damage standpoint but it felt really competitive and athletic and more of a sense of respect which is nice to see in a long standing feud that these two had. I thought Love Machine was pretty rough on his interference and timing but it does seem to set up a lot of things in the future for AAA. ****

[1999-09-18-OVW-TV] Attitude Bears Commercial
These bears look awful. Just generic bears with basic font written on them. Trying to cash in on the beanie baby craze that was 3 years past I suppose.
