I thought the Bret stuff was really cool, and I'm interested to see where they go with Bret v. Vince after tonight. I give them credit for not paying everything off in one night, and the HBK stuff was sweet in a way. TNA was just a trainwreck. They debuted Jeff Hardy, the hottest thing in wrestling a few months ago, in the opening segment. If anything, I think all the debuts took away from each other, I think they would've been better off spreading it out over a few weeks. Where do you go from here now that you have two hours to cram it all in? And the ending with Foley confronting Bischoff, only to be attacked by the nWo as Hogan looks on? Really?

What did Bryan say about Johnny Damon? It seems that Todd Martin is the same way. Every week he claims to not know the celebrity WWE books, and blasts them for booking them

This merits its own thread I think. Real sad news, I wonder if the media will cover it

Given that Jeff's been going all out in his matches despite the fact that he's leaving, shows he has some passion for wrestling

Expand more. Wasn't Luger always charged with being all physique who couldn't win the big one? Jeff's won the title a few times, and well, his physique isn't what sells.

Should Glen Jacobs be lighting people on fire? Okay, that'd be awesome, but the question still remains

I was also at Night of Champions. I heard the show was a legit sellout, and it didn't look like there were as many empty seats to me. The crowd did seem dead for much of the night, but some of the pops for the big guys was insane.

Bash '89
It recently just aired on 24-7, the show is a lot of fun, though I don't know if it's the best PPV ever. The top three matches are all a lot of fun, I loved Sting v. Muta and Luger v. Steamboat. The wild brawl to end it really makes you want to buy Halloween Havoc

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
I always love the house show reports from people trying to sound "smart" and they come off as incredibly stupid

"Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection"
68. Macho Man had his way with Stephanie (she was about 14 then) back in 94/95 and that Vince found out and that was the true ending for Macho Man in WWF. Sleaze thread

They're turning on Adam Pearce, because it sounds like the booking hasn't been very good. Regarding Hardy: He got heavily booed when he came out and then when he slipped on the rope it just made things worse. The awful match helped nobody.

I went to Final Battle right after The Wrestler, and it felt really weird at first. Then I just loosened up and decided to enjoy the show.

Predictions for 2009
Watching The Wrestler makes you not want to watch wrestling though. I don't think ROH will really benefit from it
