I can understand somone being confused by Piper's push if they only saw him as more of the announcer role. WWF really did the same with Jerry Lawler. He had that one push against Bret Hart and was otherwise treated as "a commentator who used to be a wrestler" 99% of the time otherwise. In hindsight I think they did a bad job of making Lawler feel important, at the time. Piper had more national exposure but I can still understand the confusion for someone newer at the time. Piper/Hogan by coincidence was right around when I discovered Nitro, it was like "oh, so THIS is where everyone went while I was watching Mabel and Henry Godwin, I see".

Tekno Team 2000 I will cut some slack because they correctly predicted in the future people will spell things wrong on purpose using the letter K to look cool. Also, era of style aside, is their gear really *that* radically different than Neville "The man that gravity forgot"? Both are working b-Marvel Hero gimmicks too.

Do you think they'd go back to Triple H vs. Undertaker, again? I mean, if we say Brock vs. Roman is the most likely main event, that leaves you both HHH and Taker that we are pretty sure are going to be on the show and have really between them zero logical opponents. I'm not really excited about that prospect at all, but, I mean, it does fill in some pieces.

I've been as positive about WWE's last week as anyone, but to this I'd honeslty say they can't afford to even worry about it. If I'm them I go all in on making sure the next 3 months are as hot as possible and that Wrestlemania is as loaded as possible, and I worry about sorting out the fallout from that when we get there. And as far as what do you do with Brock, I'm not sure weather you build to him vs. Roman this year or next makes the quesiton any different because it's not like you'd even want Brock vs. Roman before Summerslam 2016 at the earliest if you are building to Brock/Roman in 2017. So you would still have months of "what do we do with Brock" anyway. Worry about today. Use Brock now. Hope like hell you can run Roman vs. Cena in 2017.

Part of me wants Vince to light a million dollars on fire just to get Connor McGreggor to do any kind of segment with Brock just to piss off Dana White. I'm not neccessarily saying this is a good idea. Merely a funny one.

Vince has a legit case as a top 5 heel of all time so this is a pretty light criticism.

Legendary RAW I can actually say will be remembered for the right reasons. A really solid two nights for the company.

This has been the best RAW since I started watching again, so far. Can't wait to read a ton of ridiculous complaining about it on the internet later.

I know I get into fantasy booking a fair amount which isn't everyone's cup of tea but IF THEY ARE SMART it's easy. Raw #1: Stephanie opens the show with the big promo. Roman you're fired, you'll never work here again, if you set foot in this building I'll have you arrested etc. HHH shouldn't even be in the show because he's "in the hospital". Main event can be anything involving Sheamus, it really doesn't matter. League of Nations vs the FBI. Anyway, Sheamus is in the ring setting up for the finish, Roman (with no music/fanfare) jumps the guardrail, spears Sheamus, spears Rusev, spears whoever. DQ. Stephanie comes out with like 20 cops who all hit the ring, Roman takes off into the crowd, Show goes off the air with Roman posing with fans. Raw #2: Stephanie cuts another similar promo, Triple H comes out, released from hospital and (since we know he has to look strong) says, you know what Steph, Roman's not fired. I want Roman at the Rumble, I'm gonna beat his ass, I'm using my authority to reinstate him at the Royal Rumble, if I win he's FIRRRRRED etc etc. Again, I'm not stupid, I know this company can still mess this up, but I really think last night's show went about as well as can be expected in terms of giving them a really clearly laid out path that if thiey follow both makes sense in wrestling logic and can be pretty entertaining as your lead to Wrestlemania.

It was actually really unexpected. They did a huge angle with doctors, steph, Triple H being carried out then Roman runs all the way down the ramp and just absolutely flattened him again. Got a huge pop because they never do that.

Ambrose tries to step up a belt at the Rumble and fails due to Army Of Cronies, while Roman beats HHH as your lead in to Mania. They've actually made this shit simple on themselves, if they complicate it now they're doing it wrong.

Hat vs. Hat

Overall I was happy with the show. Absolutely crazy opener, a couple other okay but not memorable matches, and a main event that accomplished exactly what it needed to. This was fine.

Roman vs HHH has always been what should be the lead-in to Mania so for once I agree with exactly what they are doing. If they fuck this up on Monday they deserve nothing but scorn.

I heard Mauro a bit in his early days working in western Canada in wresting before he moved into MMA for a while. I like him, never been sure what some people had against the guy.

Stephanie: "ANNNNND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOOOOOOOOOO" I can't believe I'm saying this but they've actually opened the door to saving this damn angle.

You know, I agree with you and was going to type something up about this but then realized it was the only reason the match had any heat. Yeah this was a bizarre match to sum up. I mean, it worked, and that's good, and yet at the same time I can't see how it lasts. Charlotte is physically a bit bigger and more imposing than most of the other women. Flair's stuff doesn't really make sense in the context of what she should be doing, and it looks awkward especially with him right there. But... it worked tonight. So that's good? That's good.

I'm conflicted in that Charlotte seems fairly comfortable as a heel, but her Flair Cosplay stuff is fucking terrible. I realize fully this isn't going to happen but they have to let her branch out on her own more or this will get old really fast.

Lawler seems to be having a blast tonight.
