Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/fant...-stayed-in-wcw/ I re-book WCW after the "Powers that Be" are removed from power on January 1st, 2000. Since I'm not Kevin Sullivan, the Radicalz stay in WCW and this is my attempt to put forth my spin on a dying company. Too much too quick happening really, but I had 2 weeks to reboot out of a Russo mess for a PPV, 2 of the Titles are vacant (others are on terrible choices for champion) and try and set up some interesting angles for the next few months. --- Insults are to expected

IIRC Scott Steiner vs A Quebecker had a similar finish w/ Polo ringing the bell.

WCW's Highway to Hell
Shitty wrestling can be hella fun! I reviewed the whole year of 1989 AWA TV a few years ago and it was entertaining to see the shitty angles, workers etc. R and B make the next few months a trainwreck of greatness - keep the reviews up, even if it's once a week. Your current pace was freaking crazy with watching 7 hours of WCW TV every few weeks.

If Not Race Then Who?
IIRC Wrestling Classics or Meltz debunked the Hogan at Starcade story and pointed out Hogan was in Japan at that point or something like that for evidence. Edit: Hogan and Inoki teamed for the MSG tourney in Japan and I would have to assume NJPW had that date set for a long time and Hogan was one of NJ's big gaijin's. All in all, I guess the evidence appears to favor false advertising or a miscommunication. As far as Hogan going to Florida - would he have had a chance to make anywhere what the AWA was paying him, or are we to believe he was fed up enough with Verne to leave regardless?

[1990-08-27-WWF-Summerslam] Ted DiBiase and Dusty Rhodes
Well if nothing else, Dusty talked about having sex with her on National TV on SNME - albeit in a veiled joking manner.

If Not Race Then Who?
The Thesz board at WC probably contains the answer. As far as Thesz and the 83 Houston World title, Thesz may have simply needed the money, like his Gulas run.

Did Norton skip Slamboree to avoid jobbing to Sting on PPV? Or what?

[1990-08-27-WWF-Summerslam] Ted DiBiase and Dusty Rhodes
Buying off the love of his life was at least made for a personal vendetta and Dusty played it wonderfully IMO. Could the same be accomplished had Dustin just got laid out? Sure. Next: Matilda is dognapped and we get a WM match out of it!
