The Steve Austin Show
I wonder what Austin's face looked like when Heyman started doing Austin impressions in front of him. I listened to the Lita and Heyman shows and they were really good. I can't wait til tomorrow for Part 2 of Heyman. For right now, I'm gonna listen to the Michael Hayes one after work.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
Wasn't Warrior supposed to be the in same type of ambassador for WWE like Foley had before. Who are they going to use now?

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
For me, this is the most shocking wrestling death since Eddie. Seeing him on Raw just made me remember growing up being a huge fan of his. Political views aside, he was very impactful to wrestling. RIP Warrior

The Undertaker: Now what?
I echo the same sentiments that Taker needs to retire. I watched the show last night and it was the first Mania I've seen on TV since WM 24 so I really into the show including the Brock vs Taker match. The match was flat to me and I was telling myself that Taker should not wrestle again, not knowing he would lose. At one point I fell asleep during the match only to wake up with the 21-1 sign over Taker's head. I really thought I was dreaming at that point. I wished he went out with more of a memorable moment but the streak had to end at some point. Maybe give Taker a send off at Mania next year with a special tribute ceremony like the HOF intermission to replace a comedy skit.

Official Total Divas Thread
The show has become awesome by how Daniel Bryan and Jimmy Uso have become the stars of the program. Am I the one that felt that last night's episode made me like Summer Rae instead of Nattie? Nattie has come across so bad with this show that she's the only person I dislike on this show.

Place to Be Podcast Episode 298: Kevin Kelly WWF 2001, Second Half
I have to say I really enjoyed the two episodes of Kevin Kelly on 2001. Now I have downloaded all of his shows and guest appearances cause Kelly is interesting character and a guy I remembered watching wrestling when I was younger. Great work.

What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
Obviously he didn't have enough time. From what I remember from the shoot, by the end of Watts' employment, he used to bring Russo into the booking/creative meetings with McMahon and everybody. This is the time where Russo was writing for WWF magazine as Vic Venom. Russo said out of the blue, Watts was gone.

What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
From what I barely remember as a kid I think Steamboat vs Rude was the main event heading to that show. It's funny cause Badlittlekitten mentioned Watts booking and it reminded me of Russo's shoot interview with Wade Keller. Russo basically said Watts took him under his wing when Watts worked for the brief time at WWE.

WWE Network... It's Here
No native support. If you want a cheap WWE Network device, the Roku LT is the best option. I found out that the new Roku LT is now a streaming stick like the Chromecast. http://m.cnet.com/reviews/roku-streaming-stick-2014/35835337 I've avoided signing up for the Network cause of all of the problems on Xbox 360 so I might get this when it comes out in April.

The Ross Report
I feel the complete opposite in that I liked how he used those terms. I listened to a lot of wrestling audio lately and listening to insider terms constantly gets old really quick for me. So when JR started using those terms, my eyes perked up and paid more attention. I like his unique verbiage.

The Ross Report
Him and Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin are good friends so I hope he gets him before the draft to talk about Johnny Manziel and Sumlin's time at Oklahoma.

The other guy's name was Dickerman and he was hilarious. I still remember his Jimmy Valiant and Mark Henry impersonations.

A List Of Pro Wrestling Podcast Links
I've started to listen to a lot the shows that have been listed and stumbled upon the MLW podcast after finding out about Cornette's podcast. Konnan and Court Bauer has kept me entertained on my drive to and from work. Also, Peter Rosenberg and The Masked Man's podcast on Grantland isn't bad.

KENTA to WWE?
I'm not sure about Shiozaki, but Morishima got buried by Michael Hayes because of all the Terry Gordy comparisions people like to make, and Vince didn't think he was marketable. Well that's a shame about Morishima cause I think the WWE could use a big guy like him as a heel. Ryback looks like it he's not working out along with Mark Henry and Big Show being faces now. As for KENTA, I would've been extremely surprised if they offered him a contract. Like it said before in the thread, it seems to me that they are putting a cap limit on the smaller guys in the company.

KENTA to WWE?
Didn't Takeshi Morishima & Go Shiozaki have tryout dark matches in the past with WWE also? What was the response by the way they worked?

Least deserving Meltzer 5-star match
I just watched this last week cause I haven't watched much wrestling in years and was shocked to see that Dave has rated some many 5 star matches the last couple years when I looked up a list of 5 star matches on google. I saw this and wasn't blown away at all. I hope the New Japan matches don't underwhelm me like this did.

Who is winning the Royal Rumble?
I agree with everybody that Daniel Bryan should win but I don't see it happening. I think Batista wins the Rumble only because Undertaker eliminates Brock somehow. Batista vs Del Rio is probably gonna be at Elimination Chamber for the Wrestlemania spot. With Bryan, I could see him doing a 6 man tag with Cena and Hogan (if WWE brings him in) against the Wyatts at Mania.

WWE Network finally happening
Netflix removes content because deals to carry that content expire. This is all footage WWE owns the rights to. HBO keeps all of their series on HBO GO all the time... it's not like the Sopranos disappears some months. This won't keep me from subscribing... I'd have been subscribing to 24/7 for years if I'd ever had the option. But it's still a backtracking on the big talk they were doing about the library. Some stuff does fall off HBO Go from time to time. Those are movies, though. All of HBO's original series programming remains. They do hold back on some of the sports series, though. Idk about the movies but for the sports series, that's mostly a footage rights issue. When you start dealing with sports leagues like the NHL or the NFL, they charge a lot of fees for networks like ESPN to use their footage on a digital platform compared to over the air TV.

Wrestling and Rap
I know someone mentioned Pusha T with Flair but Killer Mike made a song called Ric Flair. I think Domo Genesis did a song called Elimination Chamber and Dom Kennedy sampled Ric Flair promo at the end of a song with him and Kendrick Lamar.

Podcasts of Wrestling Reviews
Miz mentioned it at the top, but we have a huge collection covering just about every aspect of wrestling at our site. We also have the Kevin Kelly Show starting next week. http://placetobenation.com/podcasts I was in the same boat a few years ago that just happened to correspond with the original Place To Be starting up. Best listening wishes. I have started to listening to the Where The Big Boys Play and the Good Will Wrestling shows cause I saw in the description on one episode about the Lucha project. I voted in the Mid South project years ago when I was on the DVDVR board. I'm happy you guys are still going strong on the 80s project. These shows look great for my hour long commute to work everyday
