  1. As I've reached the end of Team 3D in TNA, I have to point out the following, when put in context of the booking, whatever it was worth (very often not much), of where they were in their career (veteran workers with nothing to prove anymore) and what they had to work with, I'll declare Team 3D stint in TNA as one of the best ever. Not that they had the greatest matches or angles, although they did have a number of winners, but they *always* did not only the most with what they were given, but always the right things too. They put over guys left and right without losing one bit of legitimacy, they did everything the best they could, Bubba's promo work was always fantastic, they adapted to whomever they worked with, from Hall & Nash to The Motor City Machine Guns, they were as good as heels or babyfaces, they were as efficient doing comedy stuff as blood feuds. And again, they always did the selfless thing. Just an incredible run that adds so much to their legacy to me. Just 100% positive from A to Z. Also, MMA Jeff Jarrett may be the best thing he ever did. Can't wait to dive into his feud with Angle and Karen showing up.
  2. Thirded. Seriously, people... We shit enough on fans and workers stuck in the bubble.
  3. In term of in depth analysis of both their respective traits and why their career went the way it went, it comes down basically to this : _Christian was a great worker _Edge was tall

After almost a year that's a real issue for AEW's women division. Save for the Japanese girls and my girl Shanna (Alie hasn't been used in an in-ring situation and she really is more a cool character than a super worker), they all are green as hell an look really unpolished. Some have delivered in big matches situation against excellent workers like Nyla, others much less so. Some really haven't showed me anything promising at all on any level (someone explain Big Swole to me, well don't, it's a rhetorical question). I see much better women matches every week on IMPACT these days, Kiera Hogan has improved by leaps and bounds last year, Madison is solid as fuck and a great character, Kylie Ray looks like the worker AEW needed to build their division around, Havok is a really good monster, Sun Yung is a super fun character... Britt Baker is really catching up as a character, but she still was far from being that good as far as in-ring stuff went, and this injury looks pretty bad sadly.

Jean-Paul suited him better. Especially now.
  6. Best Seth Rollins promo ever. Yeah, and speaking of sad, I must say that I find the hole Corny has been digging for himself more sad than anything else. Because if he had an opened mind about current things and would be willing to accept changes and contribute like many of his peers are doing today, you know the current crop of pro-wrestlers who have grown as wrestling fans would revere and love him to death. Instead of ending up a bitter old man feeding his own bitterness by isolating himself until he'll only be surrounded by hateful sycophants. Just sad.

True. Didn't get that part either.
  8. I though she was part of the mass firing ?

Some excellent stuff, like MJF vs Marko and most of all Fenix vs Cassidy. If he lives, Fenix should be eventually pushed as a single star, he's just that awesome. The main event was pretty damn good, Gueverra is gonna be totally great one day. Yeah, not crazy about him doing the job to Literally Broken Matt Hardy but that's ok I guess. The stadium postmatch was great shit and I can't wait for the match itself, hopefully they really go for broke. Shawn Spears News showcased Spears strong points, the guy is actually a great talker. Mox not playing along The Dark Order stuff was cool. I can't say I'm enthralled about this whole angle though. The Dark Order stuff is better, but still not exactly super compelling or anything. Schiavone "Ok I was right it's a cult" line was perfectly timed though. The women match was rough, *again*. Statlander is cool and all, but she's so not ready for this push. Poor Dr. Baker got her leg of ankle squashed when they dropped Nyla on her, hopefully she'll be fine. Two vignettes in a row with people burning stuff (Allin and PAC, who looked great as usual) was not the greatest planning. And I must say, I was not crazy at all about Arn & Jake. They are cutting promos about a match that will never, and hopefully never even as a tag or something, happen, meanwhile the real issue and the TNT title feels like an afterthought. The reality is that Cody (nor Brandi) doesn't need anyone to cut promos for him and Jake is putting the heat on himself instead of Archer. So yeah, underwhelming stuff if I'm being honest.
  10. It's no one's business to judge what the fuck Martha Hart wanted for her kids after what happened to them. It's not like Hart Family is this great unit of wonderful people either. Lots of fuck ups and crazy-ass lunatics on the wrestling side of things. Considering pro-wrestling was just her husband's job and he died because of it, it's only a miracle she doesn't despise it as a whole and it shows how good and big she is that doesn't. Considering how apparently she was not only not supported but also legit betrayed by some family members, I totally get why she would want to isolate herself from these people (because really, they choose to isolate her at the worst time imaginable). The falling out with Bret seems a little bit more complex since he was supporting her at first, but like it's been said, Bret also came back to WWE eventually. Nothing is simple. Expect that fact Martha and her children lost a husband and father because of WWF negligence. From that point on and again considering what kind of character as a human being she has been displaying, she deserves nothing but respect.
  11. "Hey, I got Arn Anderson and he's great. I'm gonna have him talk about some random WWE years of the 2010's and absolutely not about JCP and WCW..." Yeah, that made me quit the Arn podcast too.

So it was basically a teaser/commercial for a bunch of shows that are gonna do every days. The Cliché Promo Class 101 was really fun, in the same vein as Broken Matt teaching the meaning of wrestling words on BTE. The Mongrovian stuff I couldn't care less. "Showing up on TV looking like I need a safe word during a BDSM party" cracked me up.
  13. Wait, he actually said that ? Mark Henry really need to shut the fuck up now.
  14. They are from the same ilk. The putrid kind. If there's another Dark Side of the Ring to be done, it's actually on Vince himself. A whole season, to expose what piece of trash this guy really is. From the covering up of murder to exploiting a widow for ratings to suing Martha Hart after taking no responsibility for the death of Owen to honoring the memory of an homophobic hate speaker and making it a "charity is the new PR" symbol to doing propaganda for a criminal regime to mass firing employ independent contractors during a pandemic etc etc...
  15. I'm sure he was a fan of Bret Clarke though.
  16. Echoing what has been said already. Awfully hard to watch at times. I'm glad they made this as much about Martha (much like they gave their humanity back to Nancy Argentino and Nancy Toffolini in the previous episodes and have not treated them as casualties as the story). She comes off like an incredibly strong and good human being. Total respect and empathy for her. On a sidenote, I don't remember seeing Corny get that emotional (in a "sad" way I mean), ever. They could have told so much about the circumstances and irresponsibility of the whole thing (when you see the hook they used it's just mind-blowing), but they made the right choice with the angle they choose, focusing on Martha. S2 really was much better than S1 I thought. They tackled probably the two most traumatic events in pro-wrestling history and have done quite a great job with it.
  17. I believe she got a few concussions, right.
  18. Ditto. I was basically only following WWE for the women back then and Alexa was so much fun.
  19. Agree with @NintendoLogic. Trip was happy to hitchjack the hottest stars in the business since the peak of Hulkamania and marry the boss daughter, then proceeded to cut off the knees of everyone in his path. Maybe if things were different, John Cena would not have been the only true Ace of the last 20 years post Rock & Austin. When you see how Chris Jericho is doing these days, you have to wonder...
  20. Yes. Much like the criticism about not having real issue. Like it's been said before, everything in WWE now is about records and "moments". She has X numbers of titles. She has X days of holding the titles. She will have her X Mania moments.
  21. Yeah, pretty much what I think too... Maybe Biker Taker should have come out to some good ol' Pantera song.
  22. I see, I see... Well at least he was not wearing the old SS T-shirt. Mark Henry would probably have told us Taker always treated him well anyway.
  23. What kind of far-right T-shirt is he wearing in the doc ?
  24. Has she beat her daddy's record already ? If not, that's coming up. But that is the issue with 20 years of monopoly. People stay in the same company forever, and since you pretty much have a token spot on the card, it soon feels like you've been there forever. And since we were talking about women and babies and cosmetics in the Corny thread, Charlotte is 34. How long before WWE decides she is "too old" ? John Cena was deemed too old when he reached 40, despite still being the biggest draw by far in the company. Considering their general views on women (Mickie James, who's only 40 now, has been called "fat" and "old" in the past in WWE angles), I truly wonder how long Charlotte's life expectancy is at this point. She really is the first woman who got to that point in WWE (don't give me Trish Stratus, please), since Becky (who's the bigger star) is leaving to have a baby and there's no telling what is coming for her when/if she decides to come back.
  25. For fuck's sake, how awful are these people ? Throw them in the sea already. Yeah, throw these ones in the sea too. Those idiotic morons who would make the widow the "bad one" because they want their WWE Hall of Fame Moment so they can chant "you deserved it" for a guy who died because the company he worked for was reckless. As far as pro-wrestling goes, Owen's death is probably the most traumatic moment for me. So, yeah, I feel this episode is gonna be tough.
