The Orton comparison was more about his snooze inducing intro routine. But I admit I don't see the great matches at all. I know it's been the consensus around here, but I never been one to care about consensus. I just don't see it. The one Roman match that I enjoyed, and completely thanks to him, was the Taker match last year, where he really held the whole thing together until the ridiculous overdramatic overtones of the ending stretch. To me Roman Reigns in single has mostly been a boring worker. I don't even like his look, I hate the bulletproof vest dating back on Bossman's return in 99. He's a big buffed up tattooed good looking samoan. Show me some of these pecs. Let's be exploitative. Women (and guys) wanna see some sweaty flesh, not lame-ass vigilante outfit.

Well, Tony watching Clash 6 was pretty fun. And damn, I almost forgot about it, but Ricky Steamboat with Bonnie in an almost wedding dress and his little brat in a dragon outfit was one lame-as-fuck babyface presentation.

That's pretty sad, because that's what pro-wrestling was about. Watch who gets over and push the hell out of them. Rusev could be a hot act. Braun should be the Monster Champ. Honestly, this all is a product of the monopoly. With WCW kicking their tale, there's no way WWE spends three Mania main events in a row on Reigns "becoming the Ace".

I dunno, to me Reigns is akin to Randy Orton. He's dull as fuck as a babyface. His intro with the slow walk, completely devoid of energy, watching around like he's showered in cheers when in fact he's not, just makes him totally unengaging as a character, as does his work, which I find repetitive and too focused on one spot (with the WWEtm annoying super obvious setup). Like Bruce Prichard would say in his Cornette voice "He's a heel, motherfucker." Just turn the guy already, he could be so much more fun. And at one point, he'd get so hot that the fans would turn him organically. Anyway, he's been pushed forever so of course he's getting big reactions, but he's like Triple H in the early 00's. He's just not the guy, no matter you slice it. Triple H was never Austin nor The Rock. Roman isn't Cena.

So, fuck the guys on TV who are allowing you to get big time money (because the nig time money comes from TV fees) and fuck the guys who pay the most to come see you. Glad to see the old carny mentality of "d'em smart mark don't know shit, they ain't no workers" is still alive and well in 2018. Gotta love the populist approach at "working for the common man" too, in a weird kinda way. (although I'm not sure row 313 tickets are that cheap anyway)

Well, he first brought Bull Nakano and her and Madusa had quite the killer match at SummerSlam 94, it was totaly serious and bad-ass. Except for Bull coming out to the Orient Express music of course. The issue is that the belt still ended up an afterthought. Then they signed Monster Ripper and we know what they made of her… Then hey had the Zenjo girls at SS 95 and were all about pushing Aja Kong I believe, until she broke ASARI's nose on RAW and then Madusa left. Not sure of the chain of consequences here. Remember when WCW had GAEA girls on their B-shows ? And Madusa was working with Bull again (although that was not nearly as good as the 94 Bull), Hokuto, Luna. That was 20 years ago now. Gail Kim & Amazing Kong has great matches in TNA 10 years ago. So yeah, hurra was Stephy & TriPaul (that's it, that's the way I'm calling him now, he's so confusing with his Paul-guru-of-NXT-fan-service-guy and The Game switch-on switch-off tactics) and the Women's Evolution, but modern history tells us otherwise. Well, I understand ROH is only crowing their women's champ this week-end ? Well, that's a Sinclair owned company for ya… (just trying to get back on track here)

So maybe the XFL Redux is a good idea after all. (I had no idea about the NFL, I don't watch sports in general, so, american-only sports, you can only guess how much I care about that. The only knowledge I have of american football is LT, Steve McMicheal and the guys who showed up in WCW from time to time. And Ron Simmons, because JR would never shut the fuck up about college sports.)

I really haven't followed the TV closely (enough to get eye burns from Rousey's make-up and watch Roman get beaten down by Lesnar to cheering fans) and Mania has been awful the last few years, but really, this one is indeed the most stacked in forever. I actually… look forward to it… and think… it might end up being… fun. Yeah, I'm setting myself up for a very long night, but really, this is quite the card for modern WWE.

Agreed with FMKK. ROH is barely a blip on Sinclair's radar. That being said, that video is some Orwellian shit. Meanwhile, you probably all contributed financing Trump's campaign if you subscribed to the WWE Network.

I dunno, I really loved the last two Okada vs Omega matches and the Naito one at the Dome, but you don't need Okada going more than 20 minutes against EVIL, Ospreay, etc... And you especially don't need *everyone* going more than 20 minutes. I mean, I'm not watching fucking Jay White go ten minutes.

I mean, they could touch on that but Ospreay and Scurll went 30 minutes and the Bucks vs Lovers tag went 40 so I think it's just the house style now Agreed. It's all about excess now. Too many dangerous spot, too many moves, too many finisher kick-outs, too many minutes. It's the Pornhub generation of pro-wrestling, they can't just have fun sex for 15 minutes, they need a giant gang-bang that lasts an hour with a hundred money shots and double anals and whatnot to be able to come, or so they seem to think.

Remember Choshu and Hashimoto having great matches that lasted 15 minutes ? I wanted to watch Genesis, but the idea of yet another 40 minutes main event doesn't appeal to me, especially one week before Mania.
