Indie wrestling is so mid-00's.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Oh well. You get the point though. It's mind blowing.

I am dating WCW from the Turner buyout.

Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce / The Godwinns / Southern Justice
Well, it probably was. From their perspective it was probably hard to work with them as they had two completely different styles. What was the Godwinns style already ? Being shitty workers ? Yeah, it had to be like pulling teeth for Furnas & LaFon who had spent years in AJ then worked their first program in WWF against Owen & Bulldog.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Just checked out the Dixie segment where she talks about being responsible for making "the beard" fashionable. And in the main event, an Abyss match (gasp !) involving barbwire and bumping into thumbtacks. IN 2014 !!!!!!!!! Seriously, this shit is just as godawful and irrelevant as anything from WCW in 2000. And I know what I'm talking about. Russo gets a paycheck to be a consultant ? Brillant on his part, I guess. I have no word.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
Lance Storm was spot-on with Warrior's passing and the "interesting" overwhelming positive comments on a guy who by all account acted like an asshole and said terrible things and never apologized for it.

The Steve Austin Show
Oh man, that Albano "performance" is one of the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in a wrestling match. How many time did he blade anyway ?

Current WWE
And you wonder why it never feels organic.

Current WWE
Yeah, paying tribute to Warrior was nice. But when you think that Savage got zilch… Anyway... Enjoyed Mark Henry vs Cesaro. Enjoys Rusev because he's a bulgarian Taz, he's got a great theme and Lana is hot as all hell. Enjoyed… well, ok, I didn't enjoy much of anything else, really. Cena's stuff was embarrasingly awful. Just eye gouging bad. Kane vs Bryan is like the worst feud for a red hot Bryan coming off Mania. I can get behind Shield vs Evolution, if booked right. But really, not having Daniel Bryan on the show reminds me why WM was all about him. Well, the honeymoon didn't last long. Can RVD go away already ? Yeah, he's about as annoying as Sid was in 1999 at this point.

Married with kids? When do you have time to watch?
I guess I'm the odd one around here. Not married, no kid. I've been with the same woman for ten years now, and she's got a daugter, but we never lived together. So I basically watch what the fuck I want to when I want to. And congrats to you Loss.

WWE Network... It's Here
Disco Inferno worked every way it could. Gilberti got the gimmick over and got more mileage out of it than anyone could have thought. No way it was a terrible gimmick and Glenn was a solid worker. Gotta love Bill Demott of all people talking shit about Disco when he wasn't half the worker, the promo or the gimmick Gilberti was.

WWE Network... It's Here
Come on. It gave us the best theme music ever in "We're not the Mounties" later on with the Quebecers. Anyway. I loved the Mountie.

The Jim Cornette Experience
I don't mind Alice. But I find Kenny Bolin absolutely unfunny and a complete waste of time. Corny chatting old school wrestling and telling stories with a good guest is gold. Political rant, why not. But the bad comedy routine or chit chat about nothing, well, I can pass.

Matches you love, but others don't
Yeah. But everyone loves that match. Wrong thread.

Matches you love, but others don't
Every big Raven match, I guess.

[1996-10-27-WCW-Halloween Havoc] Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage / Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper
I still love this match. After all the nWo guys got babyface reactions all night, Hogan shows everyone how it's done. He works the crowd into a frenzy by just stalling, it's a thing of beauty. And yes, they do some ga-ga, but it works with the Hollywood Hogan character. What did you expect ? A blood match ? And it's not like they didn't bash themselves with chair shots afterward. I enjoy the dog & pony show finish too. Hogan and Patrick were the two biggest heel there. Liz again played her role right, although she was wearing an awful, 80's looking dress. Piper showing up and explicitely refer to Wrestlemanie was the sign Bischoff was going for broke and was more interested in showing up to Vince rather than developping his own talent and company. Piper was efficient was a last ride, but he would quickly overstay its welcome, as it was already the case here. Segment was good at first but went too long with too much rambling.

[1996-10-27-WCW-Halloween Havoc] Scott Hall & Kevin Nash vs Harlem Heat
To be honest, every nWo guy got babyface reactions anyway (save for Nick Patrick screwing Jericho, which got big time heel heat from an audience who were split at best before that point), so there was no way Hall & Nash were gonna be booed. Of course the Scott Hall kissing Sherri spot was way too much a babyface move, like was the last deal with Parker (good riddance, I really can't stand this character). Anyway, for a Harlem Heat match, this is actually pretty good, and Hall was easily the best and hardest working here. This PPV was pretty awesome, just good match after good match.

[1996-10-27-WCW-Halloween Havoc] Rey Misterio Jr vs Dean Malenko
I'm with Dylan, to me this is their best match thus far in 1996. Just terrific stuff. The heel/face dynamic and the mask spot just added some much needed charcaterization to the match-up, which had been technically great up until that point anyway. Malenko definitely was at his best ever working against Rey, and in that context, the praise he usually recieves seems warranted. Rey was awesome, of course.

Christy Hemme = greatest booker ever. (ok, that's unfair, but since they made a big deal out of it on WM weekend)

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
"Les morts sont tous de braves types". G. Brassens (Dead people are all good guys) Agreed. It's infinitely sad what happened to Warrior, and especially his wife and little daughers. But let's not also forget "Queering doesn't make the world work" and such. Let's just be fair.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
Context is everything, really. A few years ago, Warrior would barely have been mentionned.

Global Force Wrestling
Come on people. Have a little faith. Jeff Jarrett is the genius behind the masterpiece that was TNA, a promotion which outlasted both ECW and WCW ad which is stil going strong today. Well, never mind.
