Most boring wrestler of all time?
No one mentionned Dean Malenko yet ? Technically proficient, but man was he a boring worker most of the time. Those "***** classics" with Eddie Guerrero litteraly put me to sleep.

Most boring wrestler of all time?
I liked Los Boricuas, and really, they were all solid workers at worst (at least Savio, Perez & Castillo). Really missed the opportunity to do something with them. They needed a hot latino valet and more elaborate production. And a push of course. D.O.A on the other hand sucked dick. When Brian Lee is the workhorse of the bunch by far, you're in deep trouble.

Undertaker > Hogan
The funny thing is Ringwald was famous for leaving the U.S. and moving to France as her career cooled off in the early 90's. The couple of French films she made must not have done well. I checked. Hey, she was in "Enfants de salauds" ! So I actually saw her in a movie.

Undertaker > Hogan
I had to check out Wiki to know who Ellen Page is. I maybe not the best one to gauge pop-culture relevance, I still haven't seen Inception BTW, and I didn't remember who was the girl in Juno.

Undertaker > Hogan
Maybe it's because I'm French but… who the fuck is Molly Greenwald anyway ? If she's a "cultural pop icon", it's most probably strictly an English speaking deal. On the other hand, I know who Emma Watson is, and I never cared one way or another for Harry Potters movies.

This. I have never read any comics whatsoever. Yet I always knew about Batman, Superman and Spiderman.

Gone off the wrestling
WWF week to week watcher from late 89 to 96 in French, then switched to English as I was getting WCW in French, so I could get heavily into the MNW stuff. Also got older ECW stuff on some satellite English TV and WCW in English too at that point. Got into tape buying in 1999 when I got sick of US wrestling thanks to you-know-who, stopped watching week-to-week pro-wrestling during the first WCW Russo stint, never ever got back. Watched lot of puroresu, older (any style) and current (joshi mostly) from 1999 to 2003, then I think my pro-wrestling watch went nosedive for a few years, as I stopped buying and downloading stuff wasn't as easy as it is now. I did watch quite a batch of matches for the Smarkchoice GOAT poll, and slowly got back on watching old stuff exclusively (although I did watch some current puro in the late 00's and got back to watch WM every year probably at the same time). Never watched more wrestling than during the last three or four years I guess, for various reasons, one being that it's never been easier to get stuff. I do think that in the next year or so I'll be watching a lot less once again eventually.

Most boring wrestler of all time?
I find it somewhat comforting that Randy Orton has been mentionned a whole lot in this thread. As it's been said, this guy embodies everything I hate about what has become the in-house WWE style. Totally manufactured from A to Z, absolutely soulless, nothing remotely believable (his "Viper" act and maneurisms are the most robotic fake-ass shit I've ever seen). This WWE-bred style is the Autotune of pro-wrestling.

[1995-09-30-WCW-Saturday Night] Up Close w/ Dean Malenko
Hi, my name is Dean Malenko. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love technical wrestling. I want to feud with Eddie Guerrero because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year. Eddie had the same interveiw segment later on the show and he basically said "Hi, my name is Eddie Guerrero. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love lucha libre. I want to feud with Dean Malenko because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year. And they used the fake Pulp Fiction music Mike Sanders would get five years later !!

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
So is Dixie basically a MILFTROLL now ?

[1995-09-25-WCW-Nitro] Interview: Randy Savage and Lex Luger
Really good stuff again. Luger must have been so thrilled to get back in WCW, getting big money and being used as a superstar again. Luger vs Savage was one feud they could have easily done in WWF but WCW got it right, another sign of the times.

[1995-09-25-WCW-Nitro] Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman
Yeah, Pillman joigning Arn really came from nowhere, but Pillman badly needed the heel turn, his new babyface character with awful hard FM music and ugly trunks wasn't going anywhere. I always thought Pillman's promos as the Loose Cannon often sounded a bit forced though. Arn was excellent here, as usual.

[1995-09-23-WCW-Saturday Night] Ric Flair and Sting
Great segment, and it's striking how much lively this looks compared to the tired "one guy in the ring / one guy on the ramp" or over-scripted and badly acted "backstage vignette" format that has become the standart since the late 90's/early 00's. Flair is awesome here, and Sting is very efficient too. No trust, no shit.

Hogan banging against the door of the monster truck while Giant is doing his evil laugh is a riot.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Really good piece. Hey, maybe that's why they showed Brie "without makeup" in the morning in that Total Divas video, because I guess that way she appears "ugly"… (well, she looks much better natural to me than with tons of makeup).

[1995-09-17-WCW-Fall Brawl] Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage & Sting & Lex Luger vs Kamala & Zodiac & Shark & Meng (War Games)
The first fives minutes with Shark vs Sting was actually pretty good. But then we get Zodiac, Kamala… So yeah, pretty bad, but not as eye gouging as the 98 and the 00 one. Really the cartoon version of Wargames. Gotta love that Hogan entered the cage and immediately threw powder in the eyes of everybody. Still the shittiest babyface ever. Damn, Paul Wight looks like he's 19.
