In other words, you don't like him very much. I always enjoyed Raven, especially in WCW, and when I went through my ECW watch, the first few times he appeared, it didn't click immediately with me, but after a few weeks, he was quickly one of my favourites. (A) I enjoyed most of his matches which have, to me, aged really well actually, and I dig his "dog and pony show" which delivers some actual great near-finishes and fun stuff. I rather watch most of Raven's matches than the Dean Malenko wankery known as ***** classics. ( I think his promos really are excellent as far as building a unique character © Him being surrounded by other people was the entire point of the gimmick and the character, and him being a depressed, passive agressive cunt surrounding himself with more talented people to do the deeds works like a charm. If you listen to his interviews, he totally put over guys like Foley as being awesome. (D) Again, Raven always puts over Richard as being ridiculously talented and I would beg to differ, Richards was a rookie and wasn't ready to be a top dog for the promotion, but the entire stint alongside Raven put him over strong and made him a good prospect. Richards really beneficiated from being with Raven (and it worked both ways, as Raven beneficiated to be with Stevie). Would Stevie ever have become anyone if not for Raven, really ? Hard to tell. And what did he do that was really memorable after his initial ECW stint ? Not his fault, but still, anyone wants to argue RTC was really fun ? (E) He got his ass kicked like crazy all the time. The fact that he never got pinned by Dreamer was a really good booking idea. Raven was all about getting his ass kicked, in ECW like in WCW. (G) He deserves his reputation. (F) You're simply a hater. -
Yep. Really terrific stuff. All of a sudden, the WWF was chaotic and unpredictable, people got involved with each other feuds. I don't know how much Watts could be credited for this, but it was a rare intense moment in 1995 that made you actually care about what happened.

How many people bought their fisrt puro tape to see this match ? I admit the IWA Death Match tournament was part of the first puro order I made in 1998. Along with a big joshi interpromotionnal show from 93, a Best of Onita and the two Super J Cup. I kinda miss those times. Yeah, not exactly a good match, but legendary nonetheless.

Kerry came in at the time Beefcake got injured, and was basically put in his spot, so maybe Beefcake was the one who would have got a run with the IC belt. He was quite hot in 1990. I enjoy your Tito Series BTW. Tito better than Bret ? Not in my book, not close. The best Bret stuff is better than the best Tito stuff. But Tito is still pretty underrated by people not familiar with his 80's work I think. Tito better than Hennig ? I would think so. Tito better than Michaels ? At points, yes he was. When Shawn was in his prime, probably not, but it's not as far fetched as some would think (well, considering I find Michaels to be very overrated, as in *very good*, but not *great*)

Great great angle. Woman was just Evil here, great acting. Sandman vs Whipreck is one of my favourite ECW program ever.

Then they did not play their role well. That doens't make any sense. It's not because they "play their role well" that it means I have any interest in watching them play their role. And that doesn't translate as a match being good because it "make sense". Yeah, it can "make sense", with "worker who play their role well" and still be a shitty wrestling match which I have zero interest in watching. Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant was playing his role well. Still couldn't wrestle a lick, and that translate into me not wanting to ever see any of his matches. Tiger Jeet Singh was mostly playing his role well, got tons of heat, was an effective draw against Inoki. Singh is still a worthless worker as far as I'm concerned, and his matches are as fun as pulling teeth.

Arn Anderson is said to have told John McAdam at a Halloween Havoc '90 after party that "I've got enough cum built up to shampoo a moose" to describe his desire to get laid. Heard that before, but that was quite an obscure reference.

Zangiev worked a single against Takada, and a tag (with Hashimikov) against Yamazaki (with Anjo). Zangiev vs. Fujiwara or Tamura could have potentially ruled it hard! Glad to know that ! Sometime someday, I'll get back into UWF-I.

Zangiev is the best shootstyle worker ever we'll never see. He showed so much potential in the few matches he worked in NJ. He was an awesome mat wrestler, he had a strong personnality. I can only shiver at the thought of big matches between Zangiev and Takada, Fujiwara, Yamazaki, Sano, Volk Han, Tamura...

Yatsu during his peak was about a hundred times better than Angle. Then Yatsu could be really bad. So can Angle. Yatsu in a walk. Stevie Ray was useless his entire career. Dino Bravo was a good worker in his prime. I think he gets a bad rep for his WWF stint, and still, he had a very good match with Bret Hart as late as 1992, and that wasn't Hart working around a broomstick either. That's a tricky one. I do think Valentine gets the edge for having those great matches with Backlund.

As far as hit & miss, Don Muraco comes to mind. When he's on and wants to work, he's a superb worker. When he's lazy, good luck...
