Royal Rumble 2015 Thread
Ha, now the latest odds are in and if accurate it doesn't seem they have changed any plans for Mania. Of course you could still have late money swings Apparently they were the smart money lines. Lots of people gonna be pissed in about 4 and a half hours

Now there is news coming out that Rock is simply there to put over Reigns in a talking segment

Rock/Brock for mania would be very disappointing. I'd rather see Reigns face either one of them honestly

Wwe.com now teasing Rock confronting Brock on the show. It's becoming clear whatever Mania plans they had have been completely blown up

2014 WON Year End Awards
Their is a predisposition to a lot of people to judge her on past performances. Plus she does such a good job that I think some people hate her so much that they can't seperate her and the performer. I also think that people know she is a real life decision maker backstage and there is a perception that she is holding back talent that the fans get behind. It's not fair but most people probably think she is just aping Vince's opinions on stuff. Happens to Hunter too

I just get the sense the company has no idea what to do tomorrow. I think we could get a 1994 type finish to the Rumble match. Others have mentioned this but I can't think of a time in recent memory where they don't have a clear plan for Mania in sight (other than Hunter and Sting)- Best Royal Rumble of all time?
Hmm, could have sworn he left out major points of the story as to not ruin it. Maybe I was thinking of another story or different reporter/situation. Pretty sure it was reported almost after Benoit won that Orton was going to get it at Summerslam- 2014 WON Year End Awards
If they don't do Bryan v Lesnar at Mania I wouldn't be surprised if Steph managed the heel he's going up against in the match. Sheamus as a corporate turncoat comes to mind. Maybe even Big Show (not that it's a good idea or anything). I think they will want to recapture last year's build and have her involved more with Bryan than the Sting/HHH build up. If they do Bryan/Lesnar then they really should just focus on those two and not the Authority deal- Current WWE
so Dolph taking a shot at Punk in his promo on SD?- Best Royal Rumble of all time?
IIRC Meltz found out Benoit was winning the Rumble and eventually the title at mania in Nov./Dec. 2003 but sat on the news. Can't remember if it was at the request of the company or that he didn't want to ruin it for smart fans. It was a wild time on the net- Current WWE
It's pretty insane that the net had it basically all right in terms of what was going on behind the scenes last year. And again after reading that its hard not to like Hunter and Steph as human beings. They might not have Vince's business acumen but they come off so much better in the press. Yeah I'm sure Bryan would have won the title at HIAC last year if the correct number was released. But then he doesn't get to have that mania moment- Current WWE
Wow. Incredible write up. Answers a ton of questions. We were right on pretty much all of them. Bryan was taken out of the main event scene because of the Summerslam buyrate. Not really surprising but interesting to see in print. Bryan revealing Hunter wanted to work with him at Mania to finish the story. Steph revealing she has improved because she was away for awhile and got corporate boardroom experience and had a new perspective on life as a mother. This was said several times on this board. Again it seems Hunter and Steph were fighting for him against Vince- Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Nash mentions it in one of his shoots but gets sidetracked and doesn't finish the story- Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
1995 wwf question. I vaguely recall that King Kong Bundy refused to do a TV job for Bret sometime in early 95. Thinking Bret was too small. Didn't it somehow involve Kevin Nash of all people coming to Bret's defense? Anyone know the complete story?- Current WWE
