Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Pretty sure I remember Trish said she took acting or improv classes during that time. she was a huge Mad TV fan and based her heel character on a Nicole Sullivan character from the show

John Pollock reporting the match cut was Zelina and Carmella v Liv Morgan and Toni Storm

WWE TV 09/06 - 09/12 All Out of Clever Titles
Apparently due to timing issues there was a women's match cut from Smackdown. Looks like it involved Carmella and Zelina

Truthfully I thought Trish was okay as a talker. But... she had to recite a lot of corny Brian Gewirtz dialogue. She was above average by that standard. I would say she, E and C and Angle were the best at Gewirtz dialogue. And Rock of course. interesting how she would have been at a more traditional wrestling promo

WWE TV 09/06 - 09/12 All Out of Clever Titles
Apparently WWE has moved the Lashley v Orton title match to Raw Monday instead of the ppv. Presumably to combat the debut of MNF

AEW Dynamite - Sept 8 2021
You're probably right

AEW Dynamite - Sept 8 2021
I understand not everyone digs the product but to deny this promotion doesn't have enormous momentum right now is kinda foolish imo

AEW Dynamite - Sept 8 2021
This feels like a promotion on fire. Hitting on all cylinders.

WWE TV 09/06 - 09/12 All Out of Clever Titles
At the very least his in ring career is most certainly over and I'm sure this was the reason Vince missed TV this week

WWE TV 09/06 - 09/12 All Out of Clever Titles
Wwe just reported that Triple H underwent a heart procedure after (presumably) having a heart attack last week. Holy shit this guy has had a rough couple weeks. eh, I guess it was a genetic heart issue

AEW All Out 2021 - September 5, 2021
On that subject does "Kevin Owen's push is killing the ratings" really hold up 5 years later? Always seemed like a scapegoat to me.

AEW All Out 2021 - September 5, 2021
I can remember a bunch of people here hated the JeriKO stuff in 2016. Even going as far as saying it was the reason for the falling ratings. Never quite bought that as as I seemed to enjoy that act more than most.

WWE TV 08/30 - 09/05 Paralympic Games rock
I can remember in 2013/2014 they wanted Stacy to come back to the company. Stephanie even had a meeting with her. She turned them down.

R.I.P. Shannon Spruill (Daffney Unger)
RIP just heartbreaking beyond words. I'm reminded of when she took that horrific bump in TNA maybe 10 plus years ago against Abyss and how uncaring and cold Russo was towards her. (Russo pressured her to take the bump IIRC) the wrestling business did her wrong

WWE TV 08/30 - 09/05 Paralympic Games rock
Yeah I see a lot of people liking this move but you're counting on modern Vince to actually go through with pushing people. Don't know why anyone would still have faith in that. also, in other news, it looks like Mania will be a 2 day event again next year.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I like when Graham came back in 87 they completely ignored the Kung fu gimmick. If you were a new viewer you would have assumed it was the same Superstar from the late 70s. That nothing had changed. That should tell you what Vince thought of the karate gimmick

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Without a doubt 1983 WWF is an all time worst year in company history. It was an unbelievable turnaround. althought, iirc, 84 didn't see a huge spike in business. That didn't happen till post Mania in 85

WWE TV 8/23-8/29 Will The Last One to Leave WWE Turn off the Lights?
Newest Observer says Brock coming back was a last minute deal. With Cena leaving again and Punk going to AEW they felt they needed to make a big move. FOX was promised Brock and Becky as well.
