Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Punk on twitter just noted he didn't know that Wil Wheaton was in Stand By By Me until just now. That can't possibly be true can it? Someone born in 1978 didn't know Wil Wheaton was Gordy LaChance? He has to be fucking around, right? Bix?

Current WWE
He specifically said it wasn't a prediction. My impression was the exact opposite of yours, that he was saying "I wasn't making predictions, I was discussing what I know is planned." Especially when Mike Johnson reported the same story yesterday. Well fuck. This keeps getting more depressing

Current WWE
On Twitter Meltz said he was just predicting and speculating that Batista would win the Rumble and challenge Orton. It wasn't a definite report. I still think that has a more than decent shot of happening well technically he called it a discussion

Wrestling With The Past #7
Shawn in 85/86 seemed to have zero confidence in himself as a worker or as an interview. He also had a slight lisp that for whatever reason seemed to go away Maybe that's why he didn't look like a future star. Shawn admitted on his second big DVD that he was doubting himself and was naive and scared his first few years in the business. It wasn't until a year or so into the AWA run with Marty that he realized he was getting over and possibly on his way to stardom. Also keep in mind he was 20/21 years old at the time

Smackdown Six Era
Just a useless random thought. I remember there was a poster at TSM who hated Edge so much that he referred to them as the "Smackdown 5" and would not include Edge in any discussion. A bunch of posters followed suit for a while and then Edge got hurt in early 03. Yeah.

Current WWE
with Batista coming back, only having one title and Reigns about to have the rockets attached, poor Bryan has no chance. This is like the first time ever I've legitimately felt sorry for a wrestler. Still beyond pissed off

Undertaker > Hogan
My brother did the same thing! IIRC the show was on the channel that eventually became the Family Channel and aired weekday mornings when we were at school
-
Undertaker > Hogan
A quick check notes MTV started airing Monkees reruns in February 1986. I wasn't yet seven years old. Also didn't know that ABC ran reruns as Saturday Morning programs in late 60s/early 70s

Undertaker > Hogan
MTV started airing reruns in the mid/late 80s. I wanna say 87/88 and I absolutely loved this show. Even though it was on the air nearly 15 years before I was born. I can remember watching the show every day after school and in fact begged my mother to see them in concert during their reunion tour along the same time.( I was only about 7 or 8 at the time)

Smackdown Six Era
I was going to post something similar to this. The next few days/week after this show on the net were incredible. Actually 02/03 had some classic internet reactions as a whole that I will never forget. The Bryan semi push this past summer is the first time I can recall an angle receiving the same types of responses. Even with Benoit and Eddy in 04/05 people were just so surprised they were pushed and many fans had stopped watching by that point anyway so there was less hoopla

I think we've been over this before but can anyone confirm that Jack Nicholson is a huge wrestling fan? This blurb from an AMC blog rings too good to be true: I so want this to be true

TLC
He looks terrible. He's getting into Don Knotts territory

TLC
any idea where they go with the title now? I assume it will be Punk v Orton at the Rumble with Orton going over. Maybe they save that for Mania and do Punk v Hunter at the Rumble Poor Bryan isn't going to sniff the title picture

She thought he was Billy Ripken? (Anyone remember that?) I was think more along the lines of Les Grossman

Ok according to Beads on Twitter she jokingly called Punk "Fuckface" when they met up and before she knew it AJ was screaming at her okay so how could Punk possibly think she wasn't kidding since they've known each other for years

of course we don't know but Michelle Beadle saying something insulting doesn't seem possible due to her seemingly flippant attitude about everything

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
so the whole thing was a work? Wow. If so why did she curse when she knew it wouldn't be allowed or even make air? Plus why would they film that when Punk and AJ are kayfabe not together. let alone at a show where kayfabe, storylines and angles are completely thrown out the window

It's pretty indefensible but I guess when your boyfriend is famous and girls scream and run after him in every city it can get to you. Maybe it's different for celebrities. Or easier. Who knows

TLC
I think it's pretty obvious the plan was for the Wyatts to go over Bryan but with RAW Monday it comes into question. I think they will hold serve and have Bryan job after putting up a valiant fight

I can't get last week's South Park out of my mind after reading this story. I guess AJ was a little jel, a total jelly monster, she should go to jelly school (which is really just a dunkin donuts)

Punk is pissed off that they are punishing her

Meltz's wordy explanation:
-
Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
AJ is dating Punk and didn't like her talking to him
-
Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
according to Meltz AJ Lee went of on an obscenity laced tirade against Michelle Beadle for talking to Punk backstage at the Troops show. She has major heat and will be punished. Punk tweeted early this week criticizing the company over it. About the worst thing you can do is cause a scene in front of a (even quasi) celebrity right in front of WWE management. If she would have done this to any other woman on the roster it probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal
