I would say he was very over in certain markets. Canada, obviously and all of the smark friendly Northeastern cities. Put him in that environment and he seemed like a major star and top player. Have him wrestle in Phoenix and while his reaction was above average he didn't come off quite as well. Eddy was getting reactions everywhere

Foley was involved in top angles for almost a year when he won the belt. I don't see that as a lifetime achievement award. No way did I see it at the time. Not Eddy either. He was getting really over and the depth of the roster was starting to thin. By October, November 03 you could see he was definitely going to get pushed to the top. But I was still sort of shocked to see him beat Lesnar simply because I just thought they would never go through with it. I could see Benoit because he was in the midcard most of 03 until the end of the year when they just turned a switch and had him challenging Lesnar and then doing the whole angle with Heyman. I remember reading they we're going to use Heyman to get him over. To be honest his title win felt like a "gold watch" moment.

I've never found Dave or Bryan to be that funny. Years ago (I can't remember which board) I started a thread asking why everyone found Dave to be so funny and the general response was that it was a "cathartic" experience for smart wrestling fans to read jokes about the wrestlers and stuff they hated. I don't really get that but to each their own

When she was GM and Heyman was managing Lesnar they had some squabbles. During all the shooty type stuff in the ECW reboot there might have been a reference or two

I haven't hated the show as much as most. The Lesnar segment was not good but what I take is that Brock is winning at the PPV. Not that it really matters but with the way WWE books he's winning. Is Bryan being buried? I'm sure that will be the cry but putting him against a pretty big celebrity probably isn't seen as a burial by the company
