I shouldn't post this but it's absolutely hilarious to go on mark boards and hear a bunch of female fans complain that HHH is "too small" now and they liked him better "bulked up" They actually have no clue that he was on roids or is off them now

Eugene has been released. Not on the list but most likely drug related

I said the same thing about Stephanie a few weeks back, but now that Hunter is off the roids his voice sounds so different, like during the blueblood/early DX days. Amazing.

Jingus, not flaming or anything, but did you enjoy *anything* about announcing and calling wrestling matches?

WWE 24/7 July-September 2007 Thread
Looking at the recent Nitros from 97 really shows how WCW was treading water at this point. The horrible Horseman stuff, Eddy/Malenko/Ultimo running in circles in 4 minute matches, Madusa back on TV, the tag team mess, Piper being Piper post 87. They were in a serious creative rut and I can't believe how awful the shows look in retrospect. It's funny because changes were made around August of 97 when Midcard matches started getting all sorts of time and the titles all of a sudden were treated as life and death possessions. I believe it was Terry Taylor who fought for these changes. People always talk about the cruisers "getting 25 minutes" on Nitro every week but that really didn't start until late 97 going through all of 98 until basically Russo came in. 97 was basically all 4 minute specials. It's funny because people complain about the lack of wrestling on RAW but it wasn't like Nitro was all bell to bell action

WON awards front-runners for the first half of the year
I'm really not getting the Kennedy backlash since he came back from injury. This reminds me of all the Edge hate when he came back from injury in 04. The guy had a good match with Bobby Lashley a few weeks back. Come on. (and yes I know this had a lot to do with Lashley actually selling for once but it was still good) Plus he's not been allowed to truly utilize his mic skills. The bastard child angle could make him a star

RAW is ruling it tonight with Boogeyman singing Harry Chapin (Cat's in the Cradle..), Volkoff singing the Russian National Anthem (with intro by Fink!), Santino ruling again (you look like, how do you say?, A filthy prostitute) and... Sheiky~!

Watching RAW tonight I think Stephanie is off the roids. Her body and voice are more towards 2000/2001 level. She' s looking less and less like Joanie Laurer

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
BTW, what does everyone think of Linden Walker? His MSG reviews are okay but with the constant shots at Monsoon, JYD and to a lesser degree Backlund you can tell he is desperately trying to pander to Dave.

Congress requests WWE drug testing records
Ok that Dating Game segment was awesome. Santino to Duggan: "Are you mildly retarded?" Santino: "These two other bachelors were talking about how they hate puppies and babies." Maria: "But I LOVE puppies and babies"

I can't even imagine how Meltzer is going to react to this. And another lesbian storyline. And all the McMahons back on TV.

Man, I haven't read Rick Scaia in years but you know things are getting bad when *he's* killing the WWE like Herb Kunze used to in the early/mid 90s. I couldn't believe this was the same person who would defend Vince Russo's booking every week from 97-99.

There was an old episode of "Tales from the Darkside" from 1984 on Sci Fi today. There was a character (unseen, only mentioned in dialogue) that was a computer salesman. The name of the character?... "Dave Meltzer". I'm not making that up. The name was said 3 times and it was clearly "Dave Meltzer". The writer of the episode must have been a subscriber. I'm not making this up!

Anyone knows what Meltzer means by this?

The greatest cons in wrestling history
Eric Bischoff cons the WWE into Producing the Girls Gone Wild PPV: Bischoff has a financial stake in the project and gets the WWE to use it's Grad A Production crew to run the show (with I believe Kevin Dunn and "Big" John missing TVs for that week). First of all Panama City backs out due to the controversy. Strike 1. The show is a complete disaster that sees WWE backing out of doing nudity due to the fear it would hurt Torrie Wilson's Playboy sales. The show is a complete embarrassment that the company never mentions again on their television. The plan to run separate adult themed "Diva" PPVs is dropped as a result. All of this so Bischoff could make a few bucks.

I was thinking, was Nancy Sullivan (RIP) the last wrestler/performer to work for 2 major companies at the same time? She worked for WCW and ECW simultaneously for a brief period in early 96.
