Really good WON this week
Nothing seems to piss off Da Meltz more than discussion of the WWE HOF. I have no idea why... well I do know why but it's kind of off putting (yet entertaining)

Some notes ahead of tonight's Impact taping
All Hail Vinny Ru!!!

Possible Royal Rumble lineup
Test is still heel. They are doing a "I'm too good to be in ECW" gimmick with him.

Unfortunately, you could see that finish coming from a mile away when on the previous Smackdown they basically said Stephanie was going to interfere in the match

It's funny now the net argues over the term "misused". For a large majority it means not allowing great workers to have great matches, while others see it as simply not getting a big push when one deserves such.

I see that Meltzer has basically stopped posting at WC

From reading today's update, Meltzer strongly hinted that the Trump angle is going to be beyond bad. Yeah.

HHH tore his quad again
According to wwe.com, Hunter will only be out 4-6 months
-
HHH tore his quad again
Probably can add RVD getting crazy over to that list. Hunter *shouldn't* be worrying about his spot but I think he's still kind of paranoid and will rush back again

HHH tore his quad again
Keller: Knowing Hunter he will rush back in fear of losing his spot. I'd say he's back by June/July. Interesting to see if he will stay in Birmingham this time as he now has a wife and daughter. Obviously this could affect business because Steph could potentially be away from creative.

Looks like HHH fucked up his knee legit in the tag match tonight. This could obviously have a huge impact on wrestling in 2007 if he misses a lot of time.

It's funny because this angle seemed to polarize the "IWC" The younger fan base on the net seemed to hate the angle with a passion while older fans rather enjoyed it. At TSM it was the end of the world while the DVDVR people were giving it high praise. As someone who watched quite a bit of Memphis growing up (discount bin videos) it indeed was awesome

Just to clarify, WWE house show attendance is at it's highest since March/April 2002

Interesting. What was it that Meltzer said has opened up a lot of eyes about the current state of WWE that Meltzer mentioned, and who was he talking about? I'm not sure. That info was second hand (couple of different boards). It could have something to do with the increase in House Show business recently which has helped morale. Paging HTQ

According to the latest Observer, Donald Trump and Vince McMahon will be working an angle of "Billionaire v Billionaire" leading up to the Royal Rumble. They will be in the corners of their respected wrestlers at the Rumble. This was the idea behind the Vince promo from Monday. The idea was NBC's, not WWE's.

Who is on your ideal booking team?
Yes but do you think he would be able to look past his opinions of them as workers. Do you think Dave would have been able to book JYD in 80s WWF after what he said about him week after week in the WON?
-
Who is on your ideal booking team?
This is just my opinion but I *really* don't think Meltzer could be objective as a booker. Could you imagine him, with all the knowledge he has, trying to book for Kevin Nash or Sid Vicious and not be swayed by his opinion of them as workers and human beings?

Going back a few posts (Loss), does anyone know if WWE writers actually decide who goes over in the matches, especially in the main events?

To be fair, in the 80s, Meltzer, in the WON, was constantly proclaiming that the success of the WWF was due to Vince McMahon's promoting skills and not the talent on the roster (except for Hogan) The mindset had creeped into wrestling before Russo showed up. Russo did revolutionize it though.

Just returned from the WWE House Show in Albany. Here's the report I typed up. A fun show with a suprise ladder match. It really was the biggest crowd in Albany for a House Show in forever.

Impact Spoilers
wo.com I just had to post these. OH. MY. GOD. My head hurts. WHAT THE FUCK?? Can anyone make sense of this mess? ANYONE? Can you say convoluted? This is insane. You make Angle and Joe personal and then book... an Ironman Match?

That was quite the heel beatdown to end RAW tonight. Great stuff

Say what you will about WWE fans.....
Someone at TSM said the crowd was hot tonight because it was full of drunk gamblers who were comped....Anyway Well, anyway yes it was suprising to hear the reaction. WWE has this weird dynamic where certain crowds are hot for the product and basically cheer or boo any pushed wrestler and then the next show no one gets a reaction. Cena seems to be the only wrestler to be guarenteed some kind of reaction. Throughout the summer HHH and Shawn were getting tremendous reactions in certain cities and barely any in others. I can only imagine what the average fan is thinking at home about the inconsistency.

Poll for 12/9/06: Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle II
HTQ, don't you know that you're not allowed to criticize TNA? If you don't like TNA you must not like good wrestling. Only marks care about booking. Stop complaining about the lack of "build up"! It's Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle in the same ring!! Let me repeat that: It is KURT ANGLE AND SAMOA JOE in the same ring!! Isn't that enough??!!! Don't you like great wrestling? You can make money in wrestling? Ah hell, who cares about that business stuff. OOOPS sorry got possessed by a spirit of a TSM poster there for a second. Anyway, the build up for this feud has killed any interest in the program. I just can't get into the TNA product
