I think Dave was trying to say that sometimes when there are surprise cameos in movies the crowds will react with positive shock and cheer, etc. Like Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers for example. But Reigns wasn't really a surprise since it's been established he's in the film. Again I don't think he meant it as a slight on Roman just that wrestling' popularity has severely subsided the last few years. Tv rights aside. Again I think that's what he meant

I think he's recognizable but nowhere near Cena (yet). I think wwe thought by this time he would have surpassed Cena or at least be on the same level but looking at it objectively he isn't really close (yet)

I think the fact that he arguably got booked better than Roman during this run probably irked a lot of people as well. He got to go over Brock clean at Mania while Roman failed twice there. He won the Rumble with no fan backlash while the crowds turned on Roman in 2015. Again just a guess

Other than all the stuff people have been saying lately I can remember a bunch of posters here back in 2015 when he got his heel push saying he had a real annoying sounding voice. Nasally and whiny. I think that goes along way in not liking a performer more than we think. Just a guess there though

Yeah hot crowds make the product more fun even if it's someone you really don't like getting that push. like in all honesty I was kinda bored of Austin's character by a certain point in 99 but his presence obviously made for some incredibly fun matches and segments and there were periods where Cena's push wasn't always doing it for me but he made the show more fun to watch

It was that gauntlet match in Feb. 2018 where everyone here seemed to take notice of the crowd reactions Seth was getting. Of course Roman was already set in stone that year but people were starting to wonder if Seth would eventually be on top. and I guess he was doing the open challenge ic title stuff around late 17/early18 that got him more over as well

Wondering if they will bring up the early 2015 backstory with Roman and Bryan. They've kinda avoided talking about the 14/15 rumbles for years now. But they are telling a 10 year backstory with Kofi/Randy with inside references so I could see them going in that direction here

That has to be one of the worst shot/produced segments in the history of the company what is going on with the production side with this and that horrendous Mandy/Sonya backstage segment last week?
