The WWE product is usually in a dead zone between September-December. It feels especially so this year despite the split. I think Hunter is going to return at the PPV Sunday which should ignite more discussion, positive or negative

Bryan gave another interview echoing his desire to wrestle again and basically admitting the only reason he came back as GM is because he was contractually obligated. WWE actually sent out a press release saying that they aren't allowing him to wrestle for his best interest. At this point he clearly doesn't want to be there and doesn't give a shit about his on screen role. I doubt WWE would release him but clearly that's what he wants. And he's a big part of Total Bellas so that adds on to the whole deal

So obvious finish is Jericho costing Reigns the match next week setting up a match at the PPV. Don't think they do a 3 way

I do think the way wwe books now half so catering to smart fans is they are terrified of another Bryan situation. Those few months in early 2014 and early 2015 might have changed wwe history forever. Of course if he had just won the '14 Rumble then none of this probably happens at all

Yes that's clearly the idea but I don't think it was quite portrayed that way in the segment. Steph had her serious face on instead of smarmy one. The writing was bad too

so Dave on twitter said that Raw was close to being cancelled around the same time USA cancelled Tuesday Night Fights. A quick search says TNFs was cancelled in August 1998 right when Raw was going through a ratings resurgence. So this can't be the right time frame, can it? I would have to say sometime in 95/96. Never heard Raw was close to being axed
