I can remember a shoot where Cornette was going on about how he didn't like something they were doing with Kane while he was on the creative team. So that pinpoints that he was still on the team in late 97/early 98. I think by Summer/Fall 98 he was pretty much done. Maybe when they brought him back to TV to manage the new MX? So Russo could bury him?

This is obviously anecdotal but I do think there has been a shift in the last decade or so of who or what an audience will find attractive. I've mentioned before that I went to a house show in 09 during the second DX reunion run and pretty much every teenage girl was wearing their shirts. Two guys that were in their 40s. Robert Downey and Johnny Depp are in their 50s yet teen girls still seem to lust for them. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and it's wishful thinking but age doesn't seem to be important as it once was

Dave getting criticized on twitter for being sexist because he keeps mentioning Bayley has a short shelf like because she is 27 and getting older and no one will buy her character as she ages. Someone mentioned Cena is 39 and still appeals to kids but Dave seemed to blow that off as a different character. This stuff is pretty surreal to read

Have to give kudos to Vince here. I think they realized Reigns as the ace who drops all the challengers just wasn't going to work no matter how much they wanted it. This is much more intriguing and creates 3 top guys instead of one
