And if they were just "stalling for time" or what. Also, later on he was knocking the side headlock a lot, but then claimed the front facelock to be incredibly devastating. Funny stuff. I think that people's big problem with Monsoon is that he was wildly different in the mid 80s than he was in 89-91.

For some reason, Warrior/Sherri in the cage right after Royal Rumble was more unpleasant to me than most of these examples.

What makes him special in-ring in 2011? Hitting the rock bottom/people's elbow/punch combo. His entrance. Maybe him interacting with 4 other guys in a promo. The fact that you can say that he's wrestling.

Were the rooting for the clear bully in it (Savage)? Folks don't root for true bullies. They think they're cocksuckers. John The fans root for the babyfaces. The babyfaces are on your team. So Harley Race, on one of his shoots, talked about how in Kansas City(I think), in the 60s, they used to wrestle in front of posh attendees who were eating expensive dinners. I find that whole thing concept sort of fascinating. Is there any place I can learn more about all that?

I do completely buy the APW stuff being a breath of fresh air. I don't think that people really liking their stuff (and even the Nitro match and what they were TRYING to do) at that time is illogical or doesn't make sense.
