  1. It was. What Staples should have quoted to give the full context:
  2. rovert replied to Smack2k's topic in WWE
Meltzer said that report is total BS. Heyman had his standard input into the Punk and Brock stuff but Mantell had no input anywhere.
  3. I really don't to be prick tease but I can't really divulge the details as it would out a chain of communication but there is another current "Cornette is angry" story emerging.
  4. Nothing too groundbreaking
  5. Cover art is a bit of a home run:

    The Wrestler had the scoop:
  7. Mark Henry via Twitter is seemingly teasing a retirement announcement on Raw

IWA Mid-South apparently got an attendance record yesterday - 300 people. Show still rang long though, delayed as they realised they didn't have a ring, so held off until they got one. Was said to be a good show. They're holding a TPI in September. Never count Ian Rotten out.

Would have recommended watching the Orton/Kane/Daniel Bryan vs Shield from tonight's Smackdown. But the last 3-4 minutes of the match was absolutely outstanding from a crowd energy point of view. The crowd was going ape but with it being Smackdown you wonder if that was just crowd sweetening added in post production but then at end of the show you literally see people jumping with joy in the stands and punching the air. Bryan continues to increasingly make it easier to draw the parallel between him and Eddie Guerrero's mid 00s ascension to beloved main eventer. Sheamus-Cesaro was a very good TV match too. An example of what Sheamus could be - an ass kicker. Very much like his matches with Tensai last year where both men clobbered on each other.
  10. Adds another dimension to the "what if Brian Pillman would have lived" question, doesn't it?
  11. WWE,com posted a HUGE gallery of sketches of character designs here: http://www.wwe.com/classics/superstar-sketches-photos: For example a design for pre-Goldust Dustin Rhodes: All the super ambitious ideas they had for Max Moon: Dwayne Johnson's handwriting revealing he designed his original ring gear: Also confirming the "internet" story of the "The Ringmaster" gimmick being proposed to Bryan "Adam Bomb" Clarke and much more. Also a WTF Razor Ramon:
  12. I'd sell an internal organ to see Prince Devitt fresh off sweeping the Best of the Super Juniors and in his new character live.

It just did. Steve Austin just posted this on twitter: Steve Austin ‏@steveaustinBSR Currently doing research on Mani/Pedi #2 for #steveaustinshow. Coming soon. #sacrifice
  14. http://www.bustedmugshots.com/minnesota/go...-zenk/106780571 Age, middle name, location etc all matches up. Isn't a photoshop either. So is there any "whatever happened to" hills left to conquer?

    Good for Lars!
  16. Someone posted a great show and picture of Ashley and Ric Flair:
  17. He most likely would have run a foul in WWE due his weight issues and who knows if his knees could withstand a full time schedule. TNA screwed it up with him numerous times for sure but I don't think he would have been a big success in WWE.
  18. Amid reports that WWE has heat with Mark Henry for taking injured while they had big plans for him. Ok.
  19. Chris Hero/Kassuis Ohno repping Misawa on an otherwise horrid edition of NXT this week:

Had to share this: http://themandibleclaw.wordpress.com/2013/...-a-love-letter/ Don't nothing about time travel or the business side. Just a fan's love for the promotion.
  21. The latest Wrestling Observer has him down as a ratings mover and in the main event of Money In The Bank PPV against John Cena. PWInsider have him down for a major Summer push too. Seems like he will get a chance to blot the box office ledger of his Wrestling Observer candidacy.
  22. Meltzer's live tweeting of the TNA-Ramage Jackson-SPIKE Press Conference was a tour de force

Now and even at the time people told me they lost like $23,000 on those three events.

Dylan Waco and I could be a tag team called The Excellent Speculators as we pretty much called this in conversation last week.

My head is spinning. Some rumours confirmed, some not or just a very elaborate work.
