Which WCW/ECW performer was most negatively effected by their companies closing?
Has to be Bagwell For Bagwell: yeah was probably never going to be a main eventer but he was on seriously good money and in stable position as a long time home grown guy earning upper six figures. His personality and ring work was`more incompatible with WWE as anyone I could think of. I would mention Luger too but that's a tough one to tackle. Can really separate what were career tailspin elements and what were inevitabilities given his personal make up & what he put in his body.

You are talking like a 5 year gap, Heyman departure and a move from OVW to FCW on those two names.

He was "That Young Knockout Kid" on the indies so likely it was Chris himself. Anyway these typically change a number of times.

You mean there are no "Those guys don't know how to work, it's just spot spot spot. We told stories back in the days." and no "We used to work 30 minutes matches every nights, we were having great matches, we drew tons of people. Nobody can draw today because they don't know how to work.", from guys who were barely above average workers ? Sit under the learning tree and I will tell you. Pretty rough on Mike being a daughter when her father was expecting/needing a son especially when Leroy lost the territory. She just had a different life story and perspective. Bobby Heenan wasnt a fan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BDCC2dLbgo

The Mike McGuirk Highspots shoot interview is the best ones I've heard in a while. She isn't a worker but she is a very knowledgeable and business savvy promoter's daughter. The interview doesnt have the normal shoot interview tropes - thank god. She despises Bill Watts.

Not really I think the drug fail is the tipping point for most people that yep everyone's favourite little scamp has serious problems. There is actually a bit of a backlash to the degree it has been covered and talked about on F4W from people who still like Wrestling and/or the people who see as just another drug suspension.

It has nothing to do with DGUSA. More to do with his posts on DVDR and tonnes more forums like CZWFans. Personally for me it was probably his appearences on the awesome and frankly extremely influential Joe Vs The World podcast at the start of the podcast boom. His appearance on JVSTW lead to him being an in demand podcast guest which then lead him cohosting his own show with goodhelmet on here. He also gained a bunch of friends in the wrestling business by going to shows and from those lurking/posting on forums reading his posts. Extremely entertaining communicator and knowledgeable guy who definitely tapped into what was happening on the indies the past 10+ years or so.

Dave Meltzer stuff
I really wish they would start completely from scratch and re-engineer the whole thing. As much as people on here right or wrongly complain about the editorial etc the site has tremendous growth potential. Ive gotten more than a handful of people to sign up but most I've had to walk through the sign up process and the site with them. I wish Bryan would invest in site design to a similar degree if not more he did with his audio equipment.

I goaded him into appearing on that show last week so give me all the credit on this one. Seriously.

Oh god I hope Bryan swots up on his knowledge of fighters and coaches. Talking about "buzz", buys, babyfaces & heels and largely guessing his predictions simply wont cut it there.

I'll leave it you guys to tell me I am wrong given the recent changes in the healthcare system etc. But I took from what Dave said about the Yahoo role was that it was largely taken for all benefits it offered which he didnt have as a "dirtsheet" writer rather than strictly money.
