TEW 2016 Announced
Not yet. The modders only just now got their hands on the game like everyone else and there's a ton of stuff they have to add and convert from their 2013 mods. The good news is that the bulk of the information from the 2013 mods can be converted over, so a lot of the tedious shit like adding every worker is done. Now it's just figuring out how to incorporate all the new goodies. There's a bunch of mods getting worked on right now though. There's at least one present day one, a 93-94 ish one, and several from the 80's. A DC Comics one that somehow sounds kinda silly and fun. I'm sure they'll probably start rolling out in the next month.

TEW 2016 Announced
I've been playing it. It's insane how much this game has grown. It's really become much more immersive since the 2007 iteration or even the 2010. Not just in all the minutiae that comes with running a promotion, but in how the game world interacts with itself and you. There's a kind of organic role playing element that is so much more present. Guys getting heat for accidentally injuring other wrestlers or one of your stars burying another wrestler in an email to you. That's fucking cool. It no longer feels like you're just playing with souless action figures in your bedroom, it feels more like an ant farm that you're also inside. That being said it can be insanely overwhelming at first when you open up the game and there's a few dozen buttons staring you in the face. My favorite moment so far was when my talent got raided by a company I'm "at war" with. I lost about 4 guys. I jobbed them out on their last show, and I had this option to give a locker room speech. I praised one of my guys for a great job, then ripped the defectors to shreds in front of everyone. And then I found out that actions like that affect how my locker room perceives me and changes how they perform for me. That kind of detail is very fucking cool.

Reactions to the List: 100-51
My favorite work from Kurt Angle's later years is when he was the Hot Tag. AJ Styles or whoever would do all the selling and then they'd tag in Angle who'd just wrecking ball everyone. It was a lot of fun and kept Angle from his more frustrating tendencies. I could watch him be Jim Neidhart all day.

Reactions to the List: 100-51
You know for all the sadness I had watching the honorable mention rollout, I'm feeling pretty good so far with the Top 100. There's some skidmarks, sure, but Tajiri is 81 and Togo is 71. I'm feeling great.

The most impressive aspect to Nakamura is that around 2007 I didn't give a shit about that guy and didn't look forward to watching him at all and now he's in my Top 5 guys in the world. It's a massive turnaround. I ranked Tanahashi higher because he got it much quicker and has sustained that quality for much longer. 10 years from now it's probable that their rankings will flip though. Both guys suffer from having a lot of filler matches where it feels like they're coasting. Neither are as impressive in tags, which I also consider a form of storytelling the most elite wrestlers should be able to tell pretty well.

Park on over 70 lists is great. Thought he would have ranked a little bit higher for some reason but Top 100 ever makes my heart warm.

Top 100 (Predictions, regrets, how many fallen soldiers do you have?, etc..)
I've got 62 left. So that's cool. Bob Backlund and Tajiri got in so I feel like I've won. However, over the course of this countdown I've realized 10 people on my list I wish I hadn't voted for. And there are about 15 people I didn't vote for that I should have instead.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
So when Chris Benoit drops can we get like a whole other reaction thread just for that?

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Oh shit me and that guy are on the same Backlund wavelength.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
The best part about today is Bob Backlund is locked into the Top 100.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
There's nothing sane about being a wrestling fan.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Slightly surprised Kerry is around. I like watching him, but even from a historical perspective it's hard to rank him Top 100 even if you just watch North American wrestling.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
I think if you're the 106th best ever you're pretty fucking awesome. But Waltman is even better than that.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Brock was a guy i instinctively put on my list, and then the more I thought the more he seemed out of place. When I started transferring the list to the form, i just kept dropping him, and I think if I did it today I'd dump him completely.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
The fact that Tajiri will move up nearly 200 spots, without doing a huge amount of anything since the original ballot, is cause for celebration.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Sasuke was the first to crack 50 ballots, right? I think he's easy Top 100, so I'm dissappointed. He's kinda the Terry Funk of juniors, in terms of career development.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
AHAHAHAHAHAH, All this fear of Triple H going into the 100, and then him coming in at 120 is the most Triple H thing ever.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Look at all the Japanese people that just got dumped so your precious Christian could get a Top 125 spot. Monster.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Sano is my 30th guy, so I guess I should be happy that over half of the next 125 will be from my list. I should start looking at it that way. Also the dread for Triple H has gotten so overwhelmingly absurd that now I'm actually rooting for him to finish even higher. I didn't even vote for that a-hole

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Hope that gif for Sano isn't also a tease for someone coming up soon.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Let's just stop. I can't deal with any more of this.

And then Alexander Otsuka. oof. I forgot about Kurt Angle. Do people here not care for him too? Who finishes higher Kurt or Trips?

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Koji Kanemoto AND Minoru Suzuki back to back. I knew today was going to suck. I wish I'd been here to pimp Kanemoto. He's got a pretty great resume and adapted really well once his knees went to shit.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
This is probably why he was in one of my favorite matches of 2007 from Hustlemania.
