WWE SUMMERSLAM 2018 THE BIGGEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER
I’m hoping it’s a It’s A Wonderful Life thing where, if I can be a good person, I’ll never have to watch these two face off again. Im gonna be real nice starting now.

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2018 THE BIGGEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER
I’m pretty sure I’m dead and I’m in hell and hell is a never ending Rollins/Ziggler match.

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2018 THE BIGGEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER
Hard to tell, it was pretty empty for the preshow.

RIP Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
When I was a kid, I thought Anvil was going to be the big star to break out of the Hart Foundation. He had one of those looks where it seems like he was made to be a pro wrestler. RIP Anvil.

Any questions I should ask Jerry Jarrett?
How important is alliteration to a good ring name?

Well, shit. That's about 15 minutes from my house. Guess I know what I'll be doing that night.

WWE TV 7/30-8/5
I'm actually hoping that Charlotte takes the belt at Summerslam and Becky turns heel. Then they have a match at Evolution and Becky wins it. It'd be a pretty big deal to win the title on the first all-woman PPV.

NXT talk
Caught up on the last couple weeks shows. Totally agree with Johnny that the Candice/Shayna match was great. Loving Shayna as champ so much. Can't wait to see who finally takes her down. Gotdam, the ending to Black/Chiampa was amazing! Just so chaotic and back-and-forth and up-and-down and side-to-side and you get it. Loved the follow up with Gargano talking shit to Chiampa about how he's only champ because of Johnny, and then Black agreeing and kicking Gargano's head off.

I have a binary match rating system. Do I feel like my time was wasted by watching this match? Yes or no.

Is the PC actually producing stars?
Don’t discount the work Danny Davis did in OVW. Cornette May have been running the shows, but Davis was instrumental in a lot of the “little things” psychology-wise, etc.

Lesnar back in UFC
I keep seeing USADA as USDA. Brock is pretty beefy, after all.

Braun Strowman posted video of himself at a Sam Smith concert. The video does not end with Braun destroying the stage and throwing a port-a-potty containing Smith off a balcony. This is most disappointing.

WWE TV 07/02 - 07/08 BELGIUM WITH THE UPSET AGAINST JAPAN
Thank you for reminding me that WWE ran a show called Great Balls of Fire. In 2017. That was weird.

Netflix creating a comedy series based on G.L.O.W.
If you all haven’t already, check out Stevens on Maron’s WTF podcast. I’m the same episode has Chavo Jr as his other guest. Steven’s has a fascinating story of how she came into wrestling.

http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2017/11/the-critic-proof-perfection-stupidity.html So, to get back to, well anything but the current conversation... I had read this on Segunda Caida a while ago, but just finally watched the match. Holy shit! It’s the most terrible thing ever and I loved every second of it!

R.I.P. Matt Cappotelli (Tough Enough)
He, by all accounts, was a really great guy. Very strong through this whole thing. A friend did a news story on him a few months ago. Last night, the story won a journalism award. So strange the timing on that. I hope Matt's at peace now.

RIP Vader
So, by my count Vader worked AWA, New Japan, UWA, WCW, UWFI, WWF, All Japan and NOAH. I cant think of anyone else who worked so many of the major promotions in the world. Anyone?

Great finish to the title match. Lars still looks like a beast after that.

Guys who were with the company far longer than you remember
Was watching some of the Coliseum Video stuff on the network, and saw a LOD vs. Col. Mustafa/Dino Bravo (talk about a random pairing!) match from '92. Had no idea Bravo was still around. And he had dark hair, too!
