Man, I wish I had my old wrestling magazines! I had a ton. I probably started buying them around 86 or 87. Went until 90 or so, but I had a lot. Refused to throw back issues away, much to my mom's chagrin. I used to know which magazines each grocery store in my town would have. I'd ride my bike around and check probably once a week for new issues. That, and I had a subscription to WWF magazine for years. Good times.

I took my 7-year-old daughter to the NXT house show in Louisville last night. We had a blast! Got to see Velveteen Dream vs Kassius Ohno. Hard-hitting fun match. Black and Sullivan had a good match that was probably some stuff theyre working on for Takeover. Performance of the night goes to Raul Mendoza against Adam Cole. It was a bit of an annoyingly smarky crowd. Lots of cheering for Undisputed Era, but Mendoza had he crowd eating out of his hand by the end of the match.

I just want to add to the chorus of support here. This is wonderful news and I hope it succeeds! This is one of those things that I never knew I wanted until I heard about it. Now I cant wait. Ill be visiting daily, no doubt.

What was up with Tully and Lex teaming? What was Arn up to at this time? Edit: Oh! I looked it up and he teamed with Kevin Sullivan. Weird. Whats the deal there?

IWA Mid South is running their Strong Style tourney just up the road from me in a couple of weeks. Matt Riddle and Eddie Kingston have been announced among some other dudes Ive kind of heard of. Im thinking I need to go just on the possibility of a Riddle/Kingston match.

To be fair, I doubt too many people looked at Stunning Steve Austin and thought hed take wrestling to possibly its widest audience ever. If it was easy to predict that sort of thing, itd happen a lot more. Its just a combination of the right guy under the right conditions at the right time.

This is so true. Albano was the bridge between Vince and the Rock side of Rock n Wrestling. He doesn’t buddy-up with Lauper and the WWF never gets the mainstream exposure to blow up. The McMahons really owe their entire fortune to that old drunk.

After watching some All Star Wrestling on the network, Im convinced that the real reason Vince moved away from calling it wrestling was because he could never quite say that word right. He always said, russling.

I love old-school wrestlers being interviewed by more mainstream (as in not-wrestling) journalists. They have no clue theyre being worked by a carny and believe everything theyre told. Its great.

Are there going to be 4 Money In The Bank matches at the PPV? One each for the main mens and womens titles?

I havent seen that quote in context, but it seems like he didnt know why they werent booked. When I read his quote, its worded like WWE just made a call to have no womens matches on the show. I have no idea if he knew or not. It just reads that way.

After every call-up, I find myself thinking that NXT is finally falling. Then, by the time the next Takeover rolls around, they have me eating out of their hand again. I actually like where the womens division is right now. There are a ton of possibilities and none of them are particularly obvious at the moment.

Im interested to see what this match looks like. Looking forward to the card as a whole. Same here. I feel like if Big Cass is ever going to have a good singles match, this is going to be it.
