Dusty is one of the people I think of when I think "pro wrestler" (the others are Randy Savage, Stan Hansen, Terry Funk and Jerry Lawler). He was just so influential and talented. Great to see that he always seemed so happy in his last years. You could tell he was having a blast working with his sons in the feud with the Authority. Hard times, indeed.

Why can't you guys just sit back, turn your brain off and enjoy math as entertainment?

Did DiBiase/Flair with all the Murdoch shenanigans happen in a studio? If so, that's my pick.

Got to see the Mountain Goats live Tuesday night. My wife was dying when she heard the Dusty Rhodes "Hard Times" promo before they came out. I was super excited to get to meet Darnielle after the show. He signed my copy of The Sunset Tree and I got to tell him how cool it is that Al Madril has been name-checked in a song in 2015. I had on a Macho Man t-shirt and he told me he loved it. Great show with a nice selection of stuff off the new album and many old faves.

Didn't Shane Douglas start his career as "Troy Orndorff"? I think they billed him as Paul's nephew or something. I've always wanted to see the alternate reality where Ric Flair sticks with "Ricky Rhodes" and never becomes the Nature Boy.

Not planning to watch. I've tuned out. Can't give a shit. I've tried...can't. I've got dvds full of wrestling I haven't watched. That's way more appealing to me than heatless, meaningless stuff that won't matter in a month.

I watched 89 last night. Man, Andre works his ass off the entire time he's in there. He's constantly being attacked or going after someone. I was shocked how he mauled Roberts. Jake slides in the ring, and Andre's on him. He beats on him for a while and then casually tosses Jake. I expected more standing around from Andre, but he was extremely active.

I'm really pissed at myself that I won't be making the deadline on the Lucha set. First one that I've missed. I do want to finish the set anyway. I'm going to get the Portland set. Really excited about that one. I WILL finish it! Also, just watch some of the stuff I have lying around. Get to some shows. OVW and IWA Mid South both run around here. Gotta see some. Watch more wrestling with friends. I am lucky to have a bunch of guys at work who are fans. On top of that, we all have wonderful wives who actually like it when we get together to watch wrestling. I should totally take more advantage of that.
