I forgot that Jericho ran over Wade's Dog back in 1999. Or was that Sean Waltman's dog?

The Mae Young Classic
I'll give full credit to Shayna for continuing to sell the ribs well after the final match ended. Considering the confrontations throughout the tournament there's no way this does not result in Shayna, Rousey and co. jumping the WWE Horsewomen within 2 weeks on RAW.

The Mae Young Classic
If it helps any Rachel looks better in round 2. With her bottom rope twisting legdrop thing she's shown more agility using it twice than Precious Paul had in both his Memphis and Mid South runs.

The awesomeness of Scott Norton
Norton's a guy I've come to appreciate over the years. I think they could have done a lot more with Vicious and Delicious.

Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce / The Godwinns / Southern Justice
HOG was definitely carryable. Not a great worker by any stretch but he was legitimately strong. Tex couldn't really work to save his life but the guy was all personality outside the ring. I've had beers with him a couple times - funny as all hell. I think he would have been a hoot as a colour guy making weird observations on WCW Worldwide.

NXT talk
I'd venture that Alpha was brought up to be the aces of the Smackdown tag division, and after a few weeks somebody realized exactly what Truth posted above. Good tag team, remarkable athletes, but put Alpha in there against Ascension or Vaudevillains and it's just not the same as what they had with the Revival. By contrast, I'd argue you could plug in almost any other team into a program with the Revival and they would leave the program more over than when they went in.

WWE UK Championship Tournament
Gonna have to do a marathon viewing this weekend. I liked what little I saw of Danny Burch in nxt.

Was bringing back the Cruiserweight division a mistake?
TJP got mega mainstream coverage back in the Philippines. If WWE plans to tour that part of Asia this gives them another name to push. If nothing else he can turn heel in a few months after Tony Nese wins the belt and give him a Duterte gimmick of calling his opponents sons of whores.

The WWE Global Cruiserweight show
I thought Slater looked pretty good in defeat (generic appearance aside), which is probably how you want to keep things with a tournament like this. Probably hurt that the crowd only wanted to pop for Tajiri's signature spots. Full marks to Ranallo for sneaking a Slick reference in during Johnson's entrance.

RIP Blackjack Mulligan
His prime was a bit before my time as a fan but I always thought he was a very good promo right up until the end.

What is the future of NXT?
Alexa's got the body language down pat for a bitchy heel. Hopefully all 3 are able to grow while in developmental (now there's an idea......)

The fake Stan Lane story and others of that ilk
theres a yuku version of the km buddy rogers threads. http://web.archive.org/web/20030404223830/pub138.ezboard.com/fkayfabememoriesworldwidewrestlingfederation Only caveat is that several pages were not archived, just click the next number if you hit a dead end. Theres also a yuku version of bob barnetts original pain in the ass forum out there as well.

The fake Stan Lane story and others of that ilk
i have bits and pieces of the original Buddy Rogers thread on kayfabe memories, but not the "fake Buddy Rogers" implication, the "look at the earlobes" post, or the "this whole thing was a work". Jdw, zordani and a few others were quick to call bullshit on the whole thing. I figured the thing was a tuse when smoeater would switch personalities from post to post.

Would love to see a follow up - Smoeater555, Butch from WC, etc. Reminds me, did anybody ever save the Smoeater reveal?

Richard Sullivan trolling Ken Timbs' wife on OSW while Timbs was having heart surgery was pretty bad.

Whatever happened to the "old timers?"
So what ever happened to Hyatte anyways? (Used to know his real name but cannot remember for the life of me).

WWE Hiring & Firing
CJ needed a lot more seasoning in the ring. His offense was either showing too much air or stiffing the crap out of guys, sometimes both in the same match. I figure they'll give him another chance down the road. The guy has a good look and wasn't too bad on the mic once he turned heel. Funny enough, when he debuted as a stoner hippy his first victory was against Baron Corbin (who's less over by the week it seems).

Current NXT Roster
I'll just throw in my own comments into the pile here READY TO GO Adrian Neville - Yes Finn Balor - Yes Kevin Owens - Yes Sami Zayn - Definite yes Solomon Crowe - Eventually... Crowd is into the character and he can work, but hasn't really shown much in NXT yet. Once they establish some solid direction for him he should start to click a bit better. I think he had a fairly bad injury right after signing his contract. Tyler Breeze - Definitely - though I fear he'll get stuck as Fandango 2.0 Becky Lynch - Eventually - wish they kept her in the plaid Charlotte - Probably right after WM. Sasha Banks - should be right behind Charlotte - it's crazy how good Sasha has gotten in the ring and she's probably one of my 2 favourite NXT heels. Bayley- Eventually. The 4 way at the last big show was the best she has looked. Really all 4 of the above women are light years ahead of the current main roster diva's save for Paige and AJ. NOT READY . Aiden English - Could be a Cesaro brother. I think he will eventually make it as he;s a good worker, but probably not as the Vaudevillians tag team, which I really like. Not sure their style would get over with the fans of the big roster. Baron Corbin - Will probably get the NXT title at some point and get called up despite being overexposed. The fan backlash is already starting against him in NXT. Blake & Murphy - I like both guys, but need to see more from them. Bull Dempsey - I like Bull, but with Owens there his days are probably numbered. CJ Parker - I HATED CJ beforehand, but am coming around on him. Either seems to hurt someone or get hurt every time he's in the ring though as of late. Would make a good job guy to the main roster. Hideo Itami - Amazing how much quicker Finn has taken to NXT style than Itami. I figure he gets called up eventually. Kalisto - Could get called up eventually. Like him far better than Sin Cara Mojo Rawley - Has a long way to go, and the "Stay Hyped" character sucked. Simon Gotch - I like him, but Aiden has a far better chance of making it on the roster than Gotch does. Sin Cara - Seems no matter who wears the mask they botch moves. Sylvester LeFort - Good on the mic, never cared for him in the ring. I have him and Mojo as most likely to get future endeavored. NEVER SEEN Angelo Dawkins - Doing a shooter gimmick after being saddled with an 80's hip-hop character. Good athlete, just nothing that really distinguishes him from anyone else Cal Bishop - Haven't seen enough of him Colin Cassady - I expect him to get called up eventually, Good look and size. Dash Wilder - Haven't seen enough Enzo Amore - Love him on the mic, even though he's just recycling the same lines over and over. Hope he gets the call up with Cass as his mouthpiece Jason Jordan - Not bad from what I've seen so far. Not established enough to make a call on him. Marcus Louis - Great scary look with the shaved head, not much else about him stands out right now. Sawyer Fulton - Haven't seen enough Scott Dawson - Was getting a minor push a while back then vanished. Tye Dillinger - Has a good look, haven't actually seen him do much more than basics while getting squashed. WOMEN - I don't know who they are Alexa Bliss - Needs some seasoning, but she'll get called up eventually. Actually pulls off the lucha roll-ups better than Sin Cara Carmella - Hateable, which means she's doing her job character-wise. Needs work in the ring. Dana Brooke Haven't seen enough To add, Chad Gable I could see eventually being called up after establishing himself a bit more in NXT.

WCW ongoing thread
We had a family friend who actually put up a few thousand to help sponsor JW Storm's boxing career. Guess that didn't work out too well for them. Storms Religious strength show is a pretty good bit of carny as well. Does "feats of strength" (brick breaking, etc.) to show the power of God, and solicits donations while doing so. I believe he pockets a very good percentage of what he is able to bring in.

Is NXT actually good at creating stars?
The Adam Rose character would be better suited to be a heel, especially with Rose's mannerisms. The character is too annoying to get over as a face IMHO. They're playing it smart by bringing Rusev along slowly, but Lana steals the spotlight from him every time he's out there. He needs a mouthpiece though. I agree with Coffee re: The shield, but I think Rollins has a far better upside than Justin Gabriel.

Financial Screw UP's
Considering the amount of Kiss fans, Bisch thought Kiss would bring in a massive TV rating with non-wrestling fans tuning in to see their band.
