Worlds End
I’m amazed they’ve worked it as competitive as they have. I figured it was going to be Andrade squashed on the way out
-
Worlds End
I’m all in for a good Mark Briscoe solo run. I hope he isn’t siloed to ROH
-
Worlds End
TK letting Statlander and Willow throw bombs on the pre-show and bringing Deeb and Riho back to prove to Mercedes Mone that she has people worth working with
-
Worlds End
It’s a testament to AEWs production team that they have the WWE-like quality to make hype videos that make the stories and angles look way more exciting and interesting than they actually are

WWE TV 12/25 - 12/31 Has Taylor Swift cursed the Chiefs?
Dolph Ziggler is a former WWE champion, right? That would be pretty funny
-
Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I guess the downside is that, with so many good matches, things struggle to stand out, especially with a lack of strong angles but, yeah, what an in-ring year. Especially if you’re counting ROH in there too.

Continental Classic
If this whole thing was Danielson with the book, let him wild on everything
-
AEW TV 12/27 - 12/30 Can Eddie finally slay the Dragon?
So that team was definitely Taven and Bennett right? I’m still plumping for Wardlow being the muscle we saw the other week and Cole being the devil after all. Revealed at Worlds End in massively underwhelming fashion. Hopefully after they hand Joe the title

AEW TV 12/19-12-23 I SWERVE WHEN I DRIVE
Yeah, Swerve/Ospreay at Wembley seems like the natural direction to go when everyone is healthy. Also, the best thing about Hangman was his entrance graphic having a different sentence every week. In hindsight, they probably should have put the belt on him sooner but he needed paternity leave IIRC. Kind of felt slightly cooler when they did put the belt on him. Especially when Danielson and Cole came in molten hot at All Out 2021

AEW TV 12/19-12-23 I SWERVE WHEN I DRIVE
Plus, the CC has thrown up a ton of credible challengers for his feuds post-title win on the Blue side. Really, this MJF devil nonsense doesn’t need the title, it’s just need resolved

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
Maybe they’re linked back up with AEW and they can put babyface MJF out of my misery
-
Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I can take or leave The Elite (even though I generally enjoyed Omega’s title run) but I always appreciated that the stories they were in tended to have a solid focus on where things were going. AEW can feel unfocused a lot so I always appreciated that side of their work.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Kind of ominous to read “new direction” when AEW is already hurtling along the “let’s show how much forgettable content we can produce so we can get a bumper tv deal” route already

WWE Survivor Series - War Games - 11/24 - What Do You See?
It’ll all end in tears but his promo on Raw is going to be worth a watch. AEW need to bring back Jack Perry to give his side of it

Continental Classic
Man, he stacked it. Especially the blue league, that looks wild. I presume that part of the tourney leads to Garcia finally going with the BCC
-
Continental Classic
I can see the rest of the field being something like Garcia, Dustin, Jay White, Trent, Brody King, Claudio and a few other ones out of left field to satisfy Khan’s match making whims. Maybe one of Fenix or Bandido? Keith Lee? I’m looking forward to it, even if I think it ends with Kingston losing his belts and I’d rather not see that outcome

AEW Full Gear 2023 - 11/18 - Billy Boy Or The Mone Maker
I’m going with Mercedes since Ospreay has already had enough matches on AEW shows where you could be fooled into believing he’s signed anyway. All In was the Mercedes tease, here’s the deliverance
-
AEW TV - 11/15 - 11/18 - EVP MJF
Personally, I trace the creative decline of AEW to when they started playing entrance music for run-ins
-
AEW TV - 11/8 - 11/11: Insert Veterans Day Joke Here
I say this quite regularly but the Daily’s Place look was the best and probably the most I’ve ever dug AEWs presentation. They made the most of every single inch of that place

Is Impact* the best wrestling promotion in history? *(Now TNA again, 2024)
So, I’ve just found out that Turning Point is being taped in the rough and ready of Newcastle so for £40, I’m now off to see Ospreay and the boys with what looks like a pretty outstanding card. Thanks, Impact

AEW TV - 10/4 - 10/7 - Spooky Seazon Begins
I assumed the tag title change was 50% of TK giving a bit of a shock and excitement to things and 50% of him trying to make Starks happy with those reports of Cody trying to get him to WWE ahead of his contract expiring. And do we really need FTR Vs Young Bucks IV?
-
AEW TV - 9/27 - 9/30 - The Ramp That Kills
If Edge is coming in, I think it’s genuinely intriguing to see how a guy who is totally and completely a WWE guy, trained in their house style, their way to talk etc, does in AEW. It’d be like if Orton ever jumped. Like, can they change things up enough?
-
AEW TV - 9/27 - 9/30 - The Ramp That Kills
I dig that we have an actual mystery, even if it’s going to end up being Cole behind it all. Especially since the devil mask was hanging behind him during an interview the other week. I don’t really have a problem since it makes sense but it will probably mean Kyle O’Reilly is coming back and I could live without that. Also, kind of interesting that these Righteous vignettes have Cole labelled as a liar. More of this kind of shit is needed; it’s all in the details

AEW TV - 9/20 - 9/23 - Grand Slam With No Apostrophes
Ha, yeah, I saw Ontario and my poor knowledge of US states and cities has let me down.

AEW TV - 9/20 - 9/23 - Grand Slam With No Apostrophes
They’ve also just announced a Canadian Dynamite the week before Full Gear so let the rumours escalate
