I think Dallas could have worked if they had him do his spiel and actually inspire someone on a losing streak to picking up victories. I'm not a fan of the losing streak gimmick but it could have worked as a midcard act, especially in the tag division, which needed teams around that time with Real Americans and Prime Time Players breaking up. Instead, I can't remember a single angle they ran with him. I agree on Rose though. That gimmick is an entrance, a dive spot with the Rosebuds and not a lot else. With better booking in the midcard and more care taken with them, they could have got some use out of both men though, even if it was throwing Rose with another guy who was hovering around doing nothing and making them a team.
  2. I haven't watched Smackdown yet but this is, on a show full of terrible builds, the worst one. They're hyping a multi-man ladder match where guys are going to be killing themselves with endless comedy shit. This pathological need for comedy throughout the show, and terrible comedy at that, is unbearable.

I'm still laughing at that weird voice-pitched Sting promo. What a strange thing.

It's a minor touch but Rusev shouldn't have been "tapping" to that STF. I like how it takes an evil foreigner for the crowd to get 100% behind Cena though,

I can't be sure but was HHH cutting that Sting promo with some crazy vocal effects? It seemed to have a lot of the same emphasis that HHH promos do.

That terrible rock song that was soundtracking the network commercial was terrible. Double terrible. TerriTerrible

Shit, Kane and Show lost. It was wrapped up in an "Authority falls out" angle but at least they lost. Oh, here's Steph... Steph can heel it up all she likes but nobody cares about Kane and Show

Heyman did a great job of building Brock(not that he needed it) but Reigns and Wyatt/Taker suffered as a result. It did a job of making me want to see the Mania main but he didn't have to go so far in knocking Reigns down IMO. That's without mentioning the Taker match that he totally shit on haha
  9. At this point, this is just an old man shouting at kids for having crazy haircuts and playing their music too loud.
  10. I'm about to watch the latest House of Hardcore show and man, these undercards seem like they're drawn from a hat. Matt Striker vs. Amazing Red. Eddie Kingston vs. Rhino. A three way between Carlito, Lance Hoyt and Matt Hardy. It's like a TEW show come to life.

He definitely works with Big Show IMO. It'll be HHH sending his guy after the title and they'll think that Show can help Reigns along when it comes to main event matches. I imagine, around summer, Rollins cashes in after a KO punch or some shit.
  12. So, when did ROH really get good again on a week to week basis? Last Autumn or so? I'm going to dig out the TV and get caught up since my backlog is now almost manageable.
  13. Probably Mr. Kennedy/Anderson. Jesus, that man gets on my nerves. Also, Matt Striker's presence in shoot interviews is grating. Wrestling's Michael Scott.
  14. That's the obvious Summerslam program for me but, as people have said, Rollins only has that briefcase until June. I'd bet my money that they have no idea where they're going with the top of the card past "Reigns vs. Big Show in April"

The one thing that I can level against Lesnar/Cena is that the wrong guy went over. But, the actual match builds to Cena winning well enough that, as a standalone match, it works.
  16. We're not talking about Bryan here but, since Reigns' first defense is against a Corporate Bodyguard gimmick, why wasn't Titus O'Neill put in that position when he turned heel? Big guy, tons of charisma, would have benefited a lot working Raw/House Show tags with good workers. I think Big Show is great but that guy should not still be in a position where he's working main events opposite your champ but that's the position the booking has put them in.
  17. https://vine.co/v/O2KBumlmOOQ Madonna just took a pretty good bump at The Brit Awards.
  18. I was looking forward to Cena/Rusev the most anyway but man, after this string of shitty finishes, there's even more pressure on it to deliver.
  19. at JBL talking about Wayne Rooney. "5 Premier League titles with Rooney" Even with other athletes, they can't resist listing meaningless numbers and statistics.
  20. Framing this as WWF vs. WCW seems like a really strange decision. Especially with supposedly heel HHH cutting promos waving the WWE flag.
  21. So, what is the effect that they're using on the replays? Everything looks awesome in them.
  22. John Stewart should sign with WWE and manage a big group of babyfaces
  23. Dusty at ringside would have helped that match, to some degree.
  24. I feel like Orton coming into a ring full of guys and hitting them with RKOs like Austin dishing out Stunners is the perfect way to use him
  25. Ha, Kane pins Ziggler. Fun enough opener but you can't help but think there's money being left on the table with Ryback and Ziggler, two guys who the fans are dying to see put in prominent positions.
