  1. I've often wondered the same. During his run from 2014-15 Wade was very fond of him. Considering how nitpicky Wade has been this struck me as odd.
  2. This amuses me. Dave glosses over some of the most incredible logic gaps ("That's just WWE") yet often finds some random bit of minutiae to get irritated with like exaggerating an injury.
  3. Was the moment when Mick Foley retrieved The Rock's sunglasses after they flung off his head unplanned? WWE plays it sometimes when talking about The Rock 'n' Sock Connection and Foley seems to think it was.
  4. The go-home episode for SummerSlam 1998 is one of my favorites. Pretty chaotic with a Hell in a Cell match in the first hour and all the main event storylines intertwining. Then there was the "Highway to Hell" music video for the Austin-Undertaker main event (not on the Network, for obvious reasons). That whole show had fifteen-year old me salivating for the coming PPV.
  5. Is it just me or does it seem like Bryan is just tolerating Dave at this point on the WOR audio? To me it sounds like Bryan is just there to feed Dave a topic, let him talk about it a bit before reigning him in and moving to the next one. His tone during those transitions sounds like he's just letting Dave do his thing because he knows without Dave the site loses a lot of subscribers. From listening to a lot of the audio on the site it sounds like Bryan is really having a great time with his buddies on their morning zoo shows and he's bored shitless listening to Dave talk about Don Leo Jonathan, for example. Bear in mind I've only been subscribing for a few years now so forgive me if this is something that's always happened. And I may be completely off, too.

I thought it was a parody of Hunters over the top Terminator intro from a few years ago.
  7. Alvarez has now offered a VOD service for his morning zoo shows. Has Dave ever commented on what Alvarez does on the rest of the audio shows?
  8. Is it really a work or is it possible someone in wrestling is a thin-skinned crybaby?
  9. I still subscribe to the Torch because I like the Bruce Mitchell and Todd Martin shows. Particularly fun is Todd no-selling all of Wade's nonsense. The one show I heard with Bruce and Todd alone was really fun and it was nice to hear them talking about something other than Roman Reigns on every single show. Too bad Wade doesn't do this more often.

Is Lapsed Lee Marshall still with us? That would bring a whole different dimension to the broadcast. He died.
  11. Wasn't there some hype around that summer of someone coming to SummerSlam who hadn't been in MSG? Wade Keller had a question about it from a subscriber on one of his audio shows a year or two ago and said it was intended to be Flair. I don't remember what happened or what Wade said made him stay with the NWA.

Vince doesn't want to fuck Bayley. It's as simple as that.

The only show they've run that actually sold out was one at a gym with Rhodes' second appearance and the APW debuts of Pentagon and Zack Sabre Jr. APW drew a strong house to the Cow Palace--but far from a sellout--that also had John Morrison and Brian Cage. Maybe X-Pac and Gangrel had something to do with that, too.
  14. Michael Cole said "hospital" two weeks in a row.

I attended both Payback and this show and Raw was a lot more fun. The main event got a great reaction. They played videos during the commercial breaks, which kept people from getting restless. At the last TV taping I went to a year ago they just shut the lights off.

They got sick of it real quick and the boring chant was as loud as any pop tonight.

I'm attending this card and expecting at least a decent to good show. The last WWE PPV card I attended was No Mercy, which also had an Orton-Wyatt match. I think I'm cursed.

I remember Mauro being very sensitive to Twitter criticism and proudly proclaiming "BLOCK party" each time he blocked someone who disagreed with him.
  19. Chuck Norris once also saved Goldberg on Nitro.
  20. Odds that he winds up back in Impact! wrestling before 2018?

Good thing they blew that big Bayley Mania moment for a Raw pop.

Because Dave said it's Roman-Undertaker this year. Of course, last year he said it would be Shane-Undertaker despite it being clear it was the Roman coronation 3.0.

Taking a scroll through Mauro's Twitter you can see he was trying to provoke JBL over the Observer award. As noted previously, Vince probably gets a real kick out of JBL bullying the guy with a mental disorder. Don't forget how much WWE hates anyone under their employ seeming like a mark.
  24. The last WrestleMania I was genuinely excited for was probably XX because I wanted to see if you-know-who went over in the main event. Since then I've watched but the event has become less about building feuds to a big blow-off and more about what epic match can be created virtually out of nowhere. I'll be watching out of curiosity and loyalty but my enthusiasm and real interest just aren't there.
  25. Well why did the Minnesota thing not happen? Was the stadium not going to be ready for Wrestlemania or something else? They didn't give the concessions Orlando was offering was what I seem to remember.
