This was tremendous, all three techincos have great stuff, Lizmark is outstanding fast and crazy highflying. I also really dig Kung Fu's crazy Bruce Lee shit, and the Bucanaros are the perfect rudos to eat and bump around for all the stuff. They also can snap into asskickers, they do a great job of fucking up La Fiera's leg. Definite Nomination

I'm kinda surprised Phil liked this as much as he did. The first fall is loaded with overblown, showoffish bumps (especially from Hombre Bala...I guess he decided he had to really push it to outbump Jerry), and the comedy felt way more CHIKARA than Arn Anderson...all stuff he usually hates. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining (I do have a higher tolerance for CHIKARA than Phil does), the first fall ended well enough with Lizmark's spectacular powerslam, and the match did pick up from there. Still I have to say "no" to a nomination.

La Fiera/Kung Fu/Lizmark vs. Los Bucaneros (Jerry Estrada/Hombre Bala/Pirata Morgan) (2/27/87)

Always love when Fiera & Estrada are on opposite sides so this should be good. I really dug Kung Fu here as he was on his Jackie Chan shit just tooling the rudos making them bump like crazy. Damn was Lizmark fluid here as his athleticism shined bright. Fiera was great as usual here doing everything so well. The Bucaneros were so fucking good here as a trio working together using vicious offense to pound on the tecnicos. I really dug the legwork on Fiera here as you didn't see a whole lot of limbwork like this in lucha plus you add Fiera's great selling it was great. The 3rd fall had some really fun moments as Kung Fu hit a great tope suicida and Fiera making a spirited comeback while selling his leg before the tecs get the win. Very solid match here and a solid nomination.

Lizmark/La Fiera/Kung Fu vs. Los Tres Bucaneros (Pirata Morgan/Hombre Bala/Jerry Estrada), 1987

LUCHA 1987 D1 OR LUCHA 11/86 – 3/87

- First fall, Lizmark was the star of the show with some amazing acrobatics but Fiera kept up with some sweet kicks. 2nd fall, it looks like the Bucaneros are bound to lose with all of the miscommunication but thye get nasty, take control and get the 2nd fall. So far, so good but nothing blow away in the 2nd fall. 3rd fall, the Bucaneros (I can’t tell them apart) injure Fiera’s leg and Fiera is so great at selling. He fights back with his trademark kicks and sells after every single kick and enziguiri. Beautiful. That’s enough for Lizmark to come in and get the pin with the hurracanrana. Another great Bucaneros match. I thought this was a really SOLID NOMINATION.
