Posted July 15, 201015 yr comment_5453158 DVD #11 5/16/87 1. John Tenta vs. Brady Boone (5:01 shown) - Decent big guy vs. flippy little guy match. 2. Jumbo Tsuruta/Tiger Mask vs. George Weingroff/Jason the Terrible (7:14 shown) - Nothing memorable here. 3. Yoshiaki Yatsu/Shinnichi Nakano vs. Karl Von Steiger/Texas Red (11:46 shown) - God, this episode got duller and duller. Von Steiger and Red clubbing on Nakano felt like an upper ring of wrestling hell. 4. Hiroshi Wajima/Genichiro Tenryu vs. Tiger Singh/Killer Tor Kamata (10:01 shown) - At least Wajima brought some fire to his brawling with Singh. But the match was structured weirdly, with Tor Kamata almost playing face-in-peril. At least it was better than the match before it. 5/23/87 1. John Tenta/Tatsumi Kitahara vs. Ashura Hara/Jason the Terrible (6:28 shown) - Just awful, sluggish wrestling most of the way. And they went to a double countout! Whose reputation needed protecting in this group? 2. Hiroshi Wajima vs. Texas Red (5:55 shown) - Low-rent version of the brawler vs. grappler matches Wajima had been working. 3. Yoshiaki Yatsu/Shinnichi Nakano vs. Killer Tor Kamata/George Weingroff (6:26 shown) - More shit. 4. Jumbo Tsuruta/Genichiro Tenryu vs. Tiger Jeet Singh/Texas Red (6:35 shown) - Why force your two best guys to wrestle these stiffs? Why spend the money to fly these stiffs over? God, I want to wipe these episodes from my brain.
