JIP with Tenryu and Hara working over Wajima's bloody forehead. Kabuki was just awesome after Wajima made the tag, ripping Tenryu and Hara with uppercuts and superkicks. The stretch run featured non-stop action between all four guys, with the crowd going berserk. Again, Kabuki was the star, keeping his team in the match with beautifully timed counter kicks. Finally, Tenryu fought through his fire and took him out with a powerbomb. I loved the continued animosity between Wajima and Tenryu/Hara and the babyface fire from Kabuki. Seven minutes is a big cut, but this was a hell of a lot of fun, so I want you guys to take a look. I'd say an extra at worst.

Genichiro Tenryu/Ashura Hara vs. Hiroshi Wajima/Great Kabuki, 1/28/88 (TV 4) (2/6-2/13)

- JIP. Wajima doesn’t have Jumbo but I dig Kabuki as a replacement. I don’t know what the hell Kabuki and Hara are doing inside but Tenryu is busting Wajima open and just kneeing him in the head repeatedly. Oh Christ, Tenryu and Hara both just decide to take turns kicking Wajima in the head. On the outside, Hara adds insult to injury by popping him with the ring bell. I LOVE IT!!! Inside, falling headbutt by Hara. Tenryu misses the big elbow but Wajima goes for the figure-4 instead of the tag. Dummy. Oh well, this gives Hara a reason to attack the cut some more. Kabuki finally gets the tag and lights up Team GT. He tosses Tenryu out and this gives Wajima a chance at revenge on the outside. However, back inside, Hara regains control on Kabuki. I want to see a singles Kabuki-Hara match. Hot ending with some bad execution on a couple of moves. A phantom Kabuki kick (bad camera angle?) and a shadow lariat sort of make you question what they were falling for. Whatever, Kabuki makes up for it later with a vicious thrust kick on Tneryu followed by ANOTHER thrust kick. Right on!!! Awesome spot as Kabuki gets a Thesz press pin but Hara leaps right in with a leg drop to break the pin. The end worked as Tnery ducks a lariat attempt, Wajima pulls the lariat and ends up with a shoulderblock on Kabuki. He thrust kicks Hara but as he reaches down to grab Hara, Tenryu grabs him and powerbombs for the pin. I think Wajima should have taken the fall but another super fun match that should be on the set. Nomination and I love the week in tag teams. I can watch this shit all day.

Revolution (Ashura Hara & Genichiro Tenryu) vs. The Great Kabuki & Hiroshi Wajima (1/28/88)

This is JIP and starts with Tenryu bashing Wajima over the head with a chair twice on the floor forcing him to juice then Hara would hit him with the ring bell making matters worse. The fans are really into Wajima here trying to make the hot tag and when he did the fans popped big. Kabuki comes in cleaning house then sends Tenryu to the floor where Wajima goes nuts on him before sending him back to Kabuki and this became a match of Kabuki & Wajima taking turns trying to put away Revolution with Wajima showing fire but being sloppy at times especially when he was supposed to accidentally give Kabuki a lariat during the stretch run. Even though that happened, the stretch run was hot with Tenryu finishing off Kabuki with a powerbomb. Normally I don't like putting matches on that is missing this much time (7 minutes) but this was really good stuff so I'm for pushing this forward.
