Great opening, and Yatsu kicked it to the next level when he took the hot tag, nailing Gordy with three straight dropkicks right above the ear and running over to smack Hansen on the apron. When Jumbo recovered, he leveled Gordy with a couple of high knees and also caught Stan with a big old smack on the apron. Jumbo and Hansen spilled outside, and Gordy recovered enough to catch Yatsu with a sudden powerbomb for the win. I know this was short but it was pretty great while it lasted. I'm going to toss this on the block, because we really don't have a great match between these two teams. 1988 All Japan TV Disc 5
September 22, 201015 yr comment_5456097 Jumbo Tsuruta/Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Stan Hansen/Terry Gordy, 2/20/88 (TV 5) (2/20 -2/29) - Christ, Jumbo is busted open a minute in. Hansen is exploiting the cut. This has been tag team heaven. I was complaining about the lariats in the corner earlier … until I saw Gordy execute them. Good work by the gaijin but when Yatsu was tagged in, the natives didn’t seem to be on the same page. Gotta love how Yatsu tries to attack Stan in the corner and Stan just shakes him off, mumbling “You don’t sign my checks”. Jumbo looks like 2-Face with blood caked on half of his face. Gordy makes a decent American in Peril but I think it would work better if they were working on KJumbo’s cut as the focus. Anyway, some hell breaks loose and Gordy catches Yatsu with a powerbomb to put it away in 8 minutes. This was fun but I think this ends my string of nominations. I enjoyed it but it was too short, not enough blood and compared to too many great tags surrounding it.

October 12, 201014 yr Author comment_5457155 Yeah, I know. I found that one really disappointing for some reason and don't have a copy to rewatch. I just thought it was interesting that two of the best teams on the set matched up a bunch but couldn't produce a consensus great outing.
