Posted July 24, 201015 yr comment_5453515 This got a wee bit of support over at SC but wasn't anywhere near the top hundred. On paper this sounds like a disaster of a match but I've gotta say it's pretty damn good for a Lance Storm street fight, much less a Lance Storm street fight where his opponent is Tommy Dreamer. Beginning of this is just a wild sprint with big bumps on a guardrail they drag into the ring and a pretty crazy table bump from Storm. Tommy gets color and Storm carves his face up with a belt buckle which is kind of funny. Ladder gets brought into play and they work some pretty fun and effectively brutal Roadrunner/Wiley E. Coyote spots with it. Storm eats an insane DVD through a table, but after ref bumps and some bullshit with Cyrus and the ladies Storm ends up winning with a top rope dropkick onto Dreamer who was hooded with a trashcan. This was non-stop, go, go,go wrestling but it passes the test for me because it felt like two guys trying to beat the shit out of each other and going for the finish from the jump. Solid Nomination.
August 5, 201015 yr comment_5453959 I really enjoyed this also and surprisingly almsot everything was hit clean. The one thing that bothered me was the I'll block your move, you block my move then I'll hit my move shit that they repeated more than once. However, most of the time, it paid off. Lance Storm looked like he actually wanted to fight and this is pretty much a picture perfect garbage match. I wouldn't rate it too high but it should be on the set.
October 20, 201014 yr comment_5457444 Extreme Street Fight: Lance Storm vs. "Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer (5/16/99) This was a really well done garbage match especially by ECW standards with everything looking pretty good and Lance actually brawling instead of trying to mat wrestle which was great. We get good juice from Dreamer and a normal ECW overbooked finish but it was fine for what it was because it fed to the angle. I agree that this moves forward.
