Steve Corino v. Chris Chetti

I thought this was an absolutely incredible first time performance in the Arena from Corino. He was in full blown heel mode, slapping Chetti in the face, laughing at him every time he got an offensive advantage, et. At one point early he teases a plancha to the crowds approval then slides under the ropes and punches Chetti hard as fuck in the face. Then he walks over to hat guy and has them part teasing that he is going to throw Chetti into the crowd before turning and tossing him in the ring and then getting caught by a baseball slide and plancha from Chetti while he's taunting the crowd. Match is built around Corino controlling with basic offense and Chetti making mini-comebacks and it works well. Chetti typically has really unimpactful offense, but Corino really seems to be leaning into his kicks and Chetti actually unloads with some nice punches too. It's too low key to be a lock, but I'm going to nominate it.

Antifaz Del Norte v. Little Guido

This was a pretty fun sprint, with a crazy twisting dive from Del Norte and Guido consistently going for the Fujiwara armbar - and then shit just broke down with the FBI double teaming Del Norte and Nova running in and a bunch of craziness. It was entertaining craziness but it killed the match.

Tajiri v. Super Crazy

Pretty good back and fourth match with some wild spots from both guys. They start out with a tope con hilo and it never really slows down from there with multiple moonsaults, twisting planchas, et. I think a lot of people might like this more than me, but I'm holding off on nominating it because these guys have so many matches similar to this and this does nothing to distinguish itself from the batch.

Lance Storm v. Tommy Dreamer v. Justin Credible

Pre-match Dreamer does a lengthy stand up routine which is actually the most entertaining aspect. Well that and another insane bump from Credible about twenty seconds in that nearly kills several fans. Lots of big spots but they looked really weak and more overbooked shit.

Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney v. Sabu/RVD

Pre-match Axl and Balls mosh to RVD's theme song which is..interesting. In all honesty this was a really fun and dynamic spotfest. You wouldn't think Axl and Balls would be the best foils for these guys but they make big targets for their spots and they hit some crazy shit in this including a couple of really awesome misdirection dives through tables and into the crowd. There is a really stupid hot potato spot with a chair early, but other than that I thought all of the big offense came off well and I thought Balls and Axl looked credible when they were on offense which was surprising. I'll give it a low level nomination.

Shane Douglas v. Taz

Snuck in at the bottom of the SC top 100.

Skull Von Crush v. Sid

Crush takes one of the most awkward table bumps I've ever seen. Typical Sid squash.
