Posted July 25, 201015 yr comment_5453549 This was another good bout between the 2. This is a title match so we aren't going to get anybody picking people off the mat. I liked the 1st bout better, but this was still nomination worthy. The beginning with Rose was simply amazing. He looked like he was going 100 M.P.H. I was just in awe of his athleticisism. Rose's sunset flip was amazing. the finishes for the 1st few falls was great. I liked the finish for the 3rd in how we set up a rematch. Rose's bumps for Dynamite made Dyno's offense look even more brutal than it normally looked. I also thought this bout had a ton more heat than the 1st. Overall, just another good bout between the two. It was awesome an awesome mashup(Glee) of styles. Rose is such an amazing worker that you are kinda of awed watching him.
May 26, 201114 yr comment_5471908 As Shoe mentioned, Buddy got to show off by matching Dynamite on a few agility spots. But overall, this felt more grinding and brutal than the previous week's match. The announcers sold being taken aback by the stiffness, and it didn't come off as bullshit. Again, we got DK's killer knee ending one fall and Buddy's superplex the next. There were a few tedious moments when Dynamite worked holds on Buddy, but nothing that took me too far out of the match. I also didn't love the finish, because I didn't quite buy Buddy thinking that his pin on DK would hold up. I guess it was a fine way of leaving their series unresolved. Anyhow, the names and the brutality make this a solid choice for the set. Lynch Portland 10, Disc 1
July 14, 201213 yr comment_5510148 Fuck I loved Buddy's big barrage where he busts out a leap frog, monkey flip, cross body and sunset flip in rapid suggestion. He totally out Dynamited, Dynamite. The first fall has several moments where they appear to be slowing the pace and Buddy will bust out a neat transition or escape or counter or whatever and get things rolling. Fucking DK almost takes a back body drop over the ropes and then gets stuck with a sick knee with Buddy cradling him for a near fall I totally bought. Fuck I can't imagine anyone watching this and pretending DK was even in the same universe as Rose as a worker as Buddy does just about everything that is worth a shit offensively and defensively in the first fall. DK's finishing knee drop was sick, but other than that this was a one man show fall if I've ever seen one. Second fall felt more even steven at first, but again Buddy strikes with a shot to the eye and opens up with a barrage of elbow and fist drops that looked excellent. Just an unbelievably great offensive performance from Buddy who tops it off with a belly to back off the top for the fall. Third fall sees Buddy continue the offensive barrage with a sequence of suplexes , the last of which rattles Buddy too. They end up in a bit of a parity exchange that Buddy dominates with roll ups. DK misses a diving knee and Buddy locks on a figure four but DK makes the ropes. Gotta give DK credit for selling the knee here and Rose credit for sticking with the attack. Rose goes for a standing dropkick but DK catches him and locks on a Boston Crab dead center of the ring. Buddy rolls forward on the escape for a three count but Buddy doesn't see his feet in the rope and starts to celebrate. Barr realizes the error and DK hits a flash roll up for the win. I thought this was a fucking an offensive showcase from Buddy and a truly great match. Top five contender.
