Posted July 25, 201015 yr comment_5453550 Jerry Lynn v. Justin Credible (2/3 Falls) I actually really liked the first fall of this as it was a full blown sprint, with a couple of insane bumps from Credible and an even crazier one from Lynn. Problem came with the second fall where they actually tried to have a traditional match. I'm a fan of building heat segments and working babyface comebacks but Credible really doesn't have the offense to pull it off. Lynn hits a pretty sick blade but Credible just doesn't bring anything that makes you want to see him work ten minutes on top offensively. Third fall is similarly worked and though they get another nice big spot it in this is too long and flat out boring at times. Good start to an ultimately weak match. Chris Chetti v. Jamie Dundee (EXTRA) Had limited support at SC. This is ten minutes of Jamie Dundee fucking with the crowd, calling Chetti a daygo, talking about being rookie of the year when he was four cause he was getting drunk on whiskey with his dad backstage and fucking rats, et. He talks shit about hat guy, works a rear chinlock and pretends to fuck Chetti's head while the crowd chants "you fuck sheep," sulks in the corner, et. I can't nominate this in good conscience, but it's pretty awesome for what it is. Extra fodder maybe. Mikey Whipwreck v. Mike Lozansky This was pretty bad. Crowd shit all over Lozansky who just appeared to be tossing out spots desperately searching for approval each time. Mikey was on the decline y this point as well. John Kronus v. Danny Doring Doring does a pretty funny strut at one point. Kronus hits a 450. Post-match Jack Victory punches New Jack. Yep. FBI v. Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten This was a really awesome segment. FBI comes out to "New York, New York" doing a Sinatra tribute with Tracy in all his dancing glory. Meanie and Nova come out for a rematch from a previous show and the FBI just fucking brutally maul them. You really don't expect this out of the FBI but this is an epic asskicking with Meanie bleeding a horrible gusher and Tommy Rich rubbing the paint off of Nova's face. Damage control comes down to take out the babyfaces and Rich gets on the mic and says something like "some of us may be in jail, Frank may be gone, but this was for you ole Blue Eyes!" Then Axl and Balls come out to replace Nova/Meanie and the FBI ambush them. Match is really a pretty good traditional tag with Guido and Tracy gaining control and doing some great heat garnering schtick, while Rich argues with fans, screams at the camera with his face soaked in Meanie's blood. Best spots are Rich bulldogging Balls from the apron to the security railing and Guido getting backdropped onto Tracy from the ring to the floor which essentially resulted in Guido taking a Samoan drop from his tag partner into the railing. Finish was a good babyface comeback leading to double chairshot finish. From top to bottom this was the most entertaining thing I've watched so far. Easy nomination. Al Snow v. Bam Bam Bigelow Bigelow took a couple of really good bumps in this but Snow had one foot out of the door and he really didn't seem to give a shit here. One of the weaker Bammer matches I've seen in ECW. Chris Candido/Sabu v. RVD/Lance Storm "This is the most complex tag I've ever seen" says Joey which is basically code for "this is an epic clusterfuck and I can't call it." Just a nightmare of a match. I had actually remembered this being pretty fun but boy it was awful. Storm was horrid in this working at half speed, making a fucking bump through a table look like the weakest thing I've ever seen, barely connecting on his shitty offense, et. Sabu managed to fuck up two powerbomb spots the exact same way. Match never makes since at all and really is a huge waste of Candido as he is seems to wander around at times aimlessly trying to figure out what the fuck is going on. Horrid. D-Von Dudley/Bubba Dudley/Big Dick Dudley v. Spike Dudley/Tommy Dreamer/Sandman (Stairway To Hell) Boy this sucked. Big Dick is pretty awful in general but watching him avoid taking a bump by stepping over the guardrail was just sad. I actually thought Spike looked good in this but it was a total mess and by the time they got to the barbed wire you didn't really give two fucks and were just begging for this to end.
