Posted July 25, 201015 yr comment_5453556 This got one vote for the SC poll but was well below the top 100. This was actually a very fun spotfest. I had extremely low expectations coming in and they were easily exceeded. Credible and Van Dam both took some epic bumps here and the hectic pace actually fit here. There is enough RVD bullshit and Lance Storm being Lance Storm for me to be a bit wary of a nomination, but since it did have a voter at SC I'll pass it through under the "others may like this a lot more than I did" rule.
August 5, 201015 yr comment_5454023 A few things bothered me about this match and it wasn't what you mentioned. I had no problem with Lance Storm here. His stuff was connecting and everything looked smooth or connected nicely. This is not the match to not like Lance Storm on. I agree 100% on the hectic pace and big bumps but I thought the Sabu run-in was pointless and I hated the finish. First, the ref just stood in the corner while Storm was pinning Lynn so RVD could jump and hit the frog splash on RVD. Seriously, he didn't act like anything was in his eyes... he just watched stood there like an idiot. Then, Lynn kicks out of the Storm pin after a five-star and ends up pinning Storm with the cradle. Stupid finish. RVD should have cost Lynn the match and then argue after the match. Anyway, I was al lset to put definte nomination up there so I think a low-end nomination is appropriate but nothing I would fight for.
October 20, 201014 yr comment_5457451 Jerry Lynn & Rob Van Dam vs. The Impact Players (Justin Credible & Lance Storm) (7/18/99) This was a fun spotfest of course but the whole psychology regarding this was fucked from the start with Lynn even teaming with RVD and the story behind it. One thing annoying about this match is the commentary from Don Callis who I swear Matt Striker learned his commentary skills from because he was so full of shit here with lines like the tension before the match was like the first Tyson/Holyfield fight. Sabu would of course get involved at the end with John Finnegan being a complete goof as the referee which was bad and killed a chance for this being a nomination to me.
