Johnny Swinger v. Chilly Willy

How the fuck did Willy ever get a job with Heyman? He's not entertaining at all and adds nothing. This is the sort of opener that makes you regret buying a ticket.

Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Da Baldies

This is probably the best Baldies match I've ever seen and definitely the least shitty I can ever remember Doring being. It's structured like a traditional tag and while the Baldies don't bring much that is interesting offensively it's a real control segment and Doring is really selling and that is better than normal. Roadkill is awesome in this shushing the crowd on a "you fucked up" chant and taking a crazy bump after being pushed off the top by Devito. He takes a fucking header through a ringside table which is really a stock bump for him but is still nuts. Finish is Roadkill hitting his springboard clothesline to set up there double team finish. Solid. I really wish Roadkill had a better partner.

Mikey Whipwreck v. Simon Diamond

This is easily the best Mikey has looked so far on any of the post-WCW shows I've seen. He took a couple of sweet bumps, hit one of his staple reckless dives and didn't fuck anything simple up. This match devolved into lots of bullshit with Marquez running in, Elektra missing a moonsault and taking a vicious headbump, and Sinister Minister winning a fencing match with his cane over the Muskateer who then took a sword shot to the nuts from Mikey. Not worth a nomination or an extra either, but better than expected.

Kid Kash v. Rhino

This was almost spot for spot identical to the match I nominated from the March 25th show. Much like that show it was a really strong but short sprint with some really good spots. I thought Rhino took Kash's offense even better here and I liked the flow a little better but the crowd wasn't as hot for this. Probably going to have rewatch those to see which one is better but I'm passing this through as well.

C.W. Anderson/Billy Wiles v. Chris Chetti/Nova

This was terrible, easily the worst match I've seen so far. They fucked up at least three nearfall break up attempts. Chetti had offense so bad in this match that I actually forgave Wiles for refusing to take any of it and dropping down before contact was made on multiple spots. I actually felt terrible for C.W. that he had to be involved in this. One of the worst matches involving people who actually got real training that I've ever seen. When New Jack ran in post match I was actually hoping he'd stiff the shit out of everyone on my behalf.

Little Guido v. Super Crazy

Guido was a bump freak in this taking everything extra hard, getting tossed onto people in the front row, shooting across the ring on dropkicks, et. I thought Crazy was pretty inventive by his standards as well using Sal E. as a springboard on an obvious botched bump by Sal and just laying out his offense in a different way than you usually get from him. There was an awful lot of Sal E in this and while it was good Sal E it did hurt the flow of the match. Hanging brainbuster was a pretty different feel for the finish and looked nasty. Just a notch below something I would nominate.

Raven v. Lance Storm

This blew. Raven didn't look like he wanted to be there and Storm can't carry anyone.

Tajiri v. Tommy Dreamer (Falls Count Anywhere)

Exact same pre-match story as the March show. I think the camera work was a lot better this time as it captured the nastiness of the crowd brawling a little better and Gabe caught better angles of Tajiri's nasty chair punt to Dreamer's head and Corino's cheapshot punch to Dreamer when he had Tajiri in the tarantula. On the other hand this did see Tajiri off on a baseball slide into crotch spot which led to a strange moment and didn't have the awesomeness of a crowd surf crutch being used as a weapon by Dreamer. Having said that I thought Dreamer was better here as he looked really on with his punches and there was more variation of the spots here than there was with the Kash v. Rhino matches. I hate to nominate too many matches that are so similar and this had a non-finish, but I think you ought to at least watch these as well to see which one you like better so I'm passing this one on too.

Taz v. Mike Awesome (EXTRA)

This pretty much has to be on the set as an Extra. It's really a nothing match but even ten years later it still is one of the most surreal things I've ever seen in wrestling and seems totally unbelievable.
