Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Nova/Kid Kash v. Billy Wiles/C.W. Anderson

Really quick three way dance. Not as bad as it could have been but not as many cool spots from Roadkill or Kash as I would have liked for a match that was basically guys doing spots.

Jerry Lynn v. Little Gudio

Pretty weak. Run of the mill workrate match.

Super Calo v. Super Crazy

This was okay. Lots of senseless stuff, but Calo hit his flip senton to the floor pretty nicely and one thing I like about Crazy matches is that they always have definitive finishes.

Uganda v. Spike Dudley

Ten second "giant killer" match.

Tom Marquez v. Ikuto Hidaka

Raven run-in and squash of both guys. I did like Hidaka's sell of his ddt.

Mike Awesome v. Too Cold Scorpio

This is pretty borderline. On paper this is a sort of highspot dream match and they delivered well in that regard with some awesome splashes/moonsaults from Scorp, a barrier vault into the crowd from Awesome, and the superbomb through the table for the finish. I also really liked the build to the table spot and the nearfall spot off of Jazz' attempted interference. Having said that I came away from this pretty disappointed. Awesome does not sell vulnerability well if at all and while I thought Scorp did a good job milking his offensive runs this felt more like Brad Armstrong giving Ric Flair a run for his money on Saturday Night and not like two heavyweights battling for the Gold on equal footing.

Rob Van Dam v. Tracy Smothers

The TNN version of this match was something I watched for the SC poll and liked a fair amount for a match with a lot of RVD bullshit. The FanCam shots do not paint RVD in a favorable light at all, but Rich really comes across as a great second and I thought Tracy looked pretty good. I have not clue why Van Dam would have been giving Smothers this much on tv at this point and ultimately that really hurts this match. I liked to see Tracy treated as a serious threat so watching him kick out of so much stuff is pretty awesome but there are big parts of this that are so heavy with Van Dam bullshit that you are just begging for them to go home or for Tracy to get in some offense. An interesting match, with some awesome bumps by Rich, but ultimately not a very good one.

Sandman v. Justin Credible

Pretty shitty. I like Sandman but Credible is not a good opponent for him. Run-in was pretty weak too.

New Jack/Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten v. Da Baldies

Tacks. Barbed Wire. New Jack attempting suicide. The end.
