Watts pre-match promo talking about adding mats around the ring and banning top rope moves amused me. And while Watts moved around awkwardly and had a shitty finish I thought the match was paced well and he did bust out the Dustin Rhodes "miss a cross body and skip under the bottom rope to the floor" bump which is pretty much my favorite bump ever. Decent. Chaz Taylor v. Little Guido This wasn't bad for a little sprint. Sal E. hit the rail hard and Guido blocked a splash with a Fujiwara attempt so I was happy with it. Kid Kash v. Simon Diamond Kash hit a really nice dive early but this didn't go long at all and went nowhere. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Chris Chetti/Nova This sucked pretty horribly. Chetti looked terrible, all the big spots looked telegraphed as fuck, there was nothing that even approached selling or structure, et. Roadkill killing himself on a table dive to the floor was the only highlight. Spike Dudley v. Dupp Brothers Three second long squash. C.W. Anderson v. Super Crazy This was a match that had it's moments. My brother liked it a lot more than I did as I thought the first half of it was really flat but the back end was really entertaining. I will say that the prop shots in this were all pretty vicious. In particular the table bumps were pretty sweet with C.W. hitting an awesome spinebuster on a table and Crazy drilling Anderson with a brutal legdrop through a table, a moonsault onto a table that didn't break, and then a fucking insane spot where he moonsaulted an upside down table that was on top of Anderson and nearly impaled himself on the legs in the process. I really didn't like this enough to nominate it but my brother thought it was the best Crazy match we've seen so far so I'm going to pass it through. Tommy Dreamer v. Mikey Whipwreck I liked this a lot until the finish, but the finish was so fucking annoying with run-ins galore and too much spot trading so it's going to miss the cut. Having said that I thought they did some really fun things in this, establishing Mikey as a crafty heel early after some parity spots and the crowd brawling was pretty good. I really loved the spot with Dreamer and Mikey brawling on top of really thin elevated platform that walled off the second section of seats as it had a Memphis feel to it. If I were making a best of Mikey set this might make the cut even with the shit ending. Raven v. Justin Credible Not as bad as it could have been, but not good. They pretty much hit all of their stock spots and then Storm runs in and then blah. Balls Mahoney v. Vic Grimes Not much of a match. Finish was New jack lighting a table on fire for Balls to put Vic through it with a suplex. Mike Awesome v. Masato Tanaka There are people who are going to like these matches and that is fine but I'm not one of them. This was pretty typical. Lots of big spots thrown together. Lots of dangerous shots to the cranium of Tanaka. Et. This may have actually gotten votes at SC as this was a TNN taping as well.
