Posted July 31, 201015 yr comment_5453783 This is the best Chetti match I've ever seen. I probably liked the Corino match from Arena better but this isn't a total carry job. Chetti shows a lot of fire here and the competitive matwork spots with Guido early were actually good. The Big Sal spots can make or break a Guido match, but here they were really great with Sal getting popped and knocked on his ass by Chetti early leading to an insane missed plancha by Guido. Later Sal got in a spot and it felt like a revenge spot which was a novel touch on the Sal E. interference theme of Guido matches. This was not worked back and fourth at all like most Chetti matches and Chetti was surprisingly adept at working underneath and timing mini-comebacks. Guido was good as always. There were a few Chetti shots that didn't connect all that well, but he looked dynamic for once which makes me willing to forgive his typically lose highspots. Dug the finish.
August 5, 201015 yr comment_5454010 I have not watched as much Chris Chetti as you have but he looked absolutely fine in this. Again, the crowd gives out boring chants when the match was anything but. Stock going Down= Stupid ECW Fans. Anyway, I think I liked this more than you did as everything was hit pretty clean, the strikes were pretty stiff and it had the hot finish. Thumbs up from me.
August 6, 201015 yr Author comment_5454058 Chetti is a rare bad wrestler who is more tolerable in singles matches as he's less likely to get all hopped up on a hot tag and fuck a bunch of shit up.
October 20, 201014 yr comment_5457427 Chris Chetti vs. Little Guido (2/16/99) The work here was better than the Corino match as Chetti looked pretty damn good here with Guido being pretty solid also and I'll co-sign this nomination.
