Posted July 31, 201015 yr comment_5453786 Last time I watched their Guilty of Charged 2000 match I really enjoyed it, so I was sorta looking forward to this. I think this was a slightly less over the top version of that. You still have to be willing to accept a guy as small as Spike as a legit threat to Awesome, but if you can get over that this is really good. Spike gets in early offense to establish that he has a chance and then Awesome kills Spike forever, and then Spike makes a good comeback and Awesome cuts him off and it sort of goes that way. In particular I really liked the Spike offensive barrage on the floor with the leaping chairshots and Awesome catching him on the tope to stop his momentum. This was either a spotfest masquerading as a match with a story or vice versa but it was good either way.

Early on, it was squash city with Awesome destroying Spike and Spike made a nice comeback and it was the first time I thought the chair was necessary so Spike could even up the odds. I remember watching the PPV match and thinking glorified squash while this one felt more like big man vs. underdog. I second the nomination.

Spike goes all out trying to get the win and has Awesome reeling but of course Awesome wins in the end but this was a damn good match and should move forward.
