Posted August 20, 201015 yr comment_5454713 FBI are working the same six-man tag "champ" gimmick and it's still pretty amusing. Rich gets the upperhand on Sandman early which is surprising and lays into him with some great punches and a nasty cane shot which really gets the crowd pissed. Tracy and Guido then come in and do some pretty effective double team spots, before the Big Don comes back in for some more cheapshots with the cane. Rich is a monster working the crowd on the apron throughout and Sandman sells really well and Guido takes a couple of sweet bumps for his comeback so the opening segment pretty much ruled. Guido gets his ass kicked for a bit and then Balls in with Tracy and then the inevitable Balls FIP segment. Man Rich's punches looked good in this as he is just beating on Mahoney. The Tracy/Balls segment leading to the hot tag was a lot of fun with Smothers taunts and slapping at Mahoney's face. Off the hot tag Sandman is able to regain his cane from the FBI and you think we are going to get the same finish from the other tag with the chairshot/caneshots to all the heels but they kick out for a really cool nearfall. Tracy gets a nearfall or two on Sandman and they do a sort of oddball, mini-please don't stop, finish with several broken up pinfalls before Rich gets beat with the Nutcracker Suite. I will be accused of overrating the FBI, but this is another one I'm nominating.

Sandman/Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten Low End nomination - FanCam 4-3-98 - Ooh, this one starts off with Rich getting the better of Sandman and the FBI quickly double teaming him early on.After the initial burst, the match takes a similar path to the earlier match. In both matches, guido was pretty great getting his ass kicked. However, I think I might have enjoyed this one a tad better than the last. I’ll put this in the solid pile for now with the extra FBI offense and less spectacle nature of the match.
November 22, 201014 yr comment_5458549 Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney, & The Sandman vs. The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido, "Wildfire" Tommy Rich, & Tracy Smothers) (4/3/98) FBI want to defend their 6-man tag titles again but again Rich forgot the belts. What a shame. The setup is the same as their match the week before but the match itself here was better than that one mainly due to a much better stretch run leading to a satisfying finish after a fun story regarding the cane. This was loads of fun and a fairly easy nomination.
