Man Tajiri beats his ass with chairshots and kicks, locks on the tarantula which is more than a vanity move with Lynn's taped ribs, et. Really loved him stabbing Lynn in the face with a tire iron and then tossing it out to the floor with the clank echoing throughout the Arena. Lynn reverses a spot where Tajiri is choking him with a tie (I think?) to make a mini-comeback but Tajiri ends up cutting off his run with this really sweet looking backbreaker from a tombstone position. Lynn keeps fighting back in this and is a bloody mess but Tajiri is always coming forward. The end of this pisses me off as Lynn fights back to hit the cradle piledriver and then Corino comes in and eats one and then Lynn goes after Victory before Tajiri hits the mist and a nasty brainbuster for the pin. This was on it's way to being an incredible match prior to the interference, but the right guy won so I can't say it totally kills the bout. Too good not to pass on.

Too bad when Jerry was in the tree of woe that Tajiri didn’t dropkick the ribs instead of Jerry’s face. However, you could tell Tajiri was more interested in torturing Lynn than he was in using a sound strategy to win the match. Nice stretch run after Lynn turned the tide and choked Tajiri with his own belt. Add Jerry’s blood and Tajiri going back to the ribs to take control and of course I back this nomination and Tajiri continues to amaze. The red mist into head kick into brainbuster finisher combo was AWESOME. Another HUGE recommendation. Stone cold lock. EDIT: I Agree with the interference but it did lead to the finishing combo.
November 29, 201014 yr comment_5458840 Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Jerry Lynn (10/23/99) Lynn's ribs are taped so of course that will be focused on here. Tajiri was ruthless working on the ribs which was great and he looked like he was getting off on torturing him which also was great. Lynn was really good here at getting over the story and then you had the tire iron getting used which was wild as now Lynn is selling his ribs and is bleeding like crazy. Lynn then made a pretty fun comeback taking out Tajiri, Corino, & Victory but Tajiri recovered and eventually got the win. The runins didn't bother me here as it led to the finish which was the right finish and this is a definite nomination for sure.
