Posted August 22, 201015 yr comment_5454823 Michael Shane v. Rodney Mack I forgot Mack's ECW name and the ring announcer can't be hard over the crowd so Mack it is. Mack's interactions with the crowd are really the best part of this as he gets caught with a plancha because he's jawing with a fan and he generally just looks like an angry bastard. Mack's asskicking was fun but you really don't buy Shane as a guy that is going to give the double bird to an angry, jacked, black dude barking like a dog. Still this was a pretty fun opener. Jerry Lynn v. Evil Ref This was just nonsense with Dreamer being stood down by a ref who's fucking name I don't even remember and Lynn kicking his ass and piledriving him on the title. Nova v. Simon Diamond Could have been worse but this another in a long line of five minute sprints, with multiple run-ins. Kid Kash v. EZ Money This really is what you would want out of these guys. Tons of big spots hit very well, some nutty dives, a fast pace, Some hilarious interference spots from Hamerick including running the ref and complaining about the number of rotations in Kash's offense, and a fucking hidden chain spot. Not a great match, but a thoroughly entertaining sprint. Mikey Whipwreck/Tajiri v. Christian York/Joey Matthews (EXTRA) I am not a fan of the Mikey/Tajiri team usually but this was pretty damn sweet. After some clean opening exchanges Tajiri goes to shake York's hand and pelts him with a kick again and they proceed to just beat the shit out of York and Matthews. They work a little mini-comeback here but that only serves to piss then off even more as Tajiri kicks there heads off again and they do a really great mist spot as well. This was really fun competitive squashed disguised as something more substantive. C.W. Anderson v. Steve Corino Well now this was awesome. Corino is a babyface here and he comes out and just goes straight at Anderson and they exchange some sweet punches. C.W. takes over working the arm and just beats the shit out of it with chairshots, post shots, punches, et. Corino fucking sells his ass off throughout totally dead arming it through all of his comebacks and C.W. just keeps coming back to the arm. They eventually end up on the floor and Victory gets involved but gets tossed through a table by C.W. This thing just keeps getting nastier and nastier and at one point Anderson just wildly hurls a chair at Corino's fucking face. They do more heel v. face ref stuff which sucks, but it actually leads to a couple of compelling nearfalls, a slugest finish that sets up the Corino win and a wild post match segment with New Jack ending up bloodied and giving a promo demanding Corino to team with him against Rhino and Credible later in the night. The ending was overbooked but it actually worked for me here so I'm going to give this a thumbs up. Danny Doring/Roadkill v. Chris Kruger/Phoenix Total squash Chris Hamerick v. Spike Dudley Sadly this was a squash Tom Marquez/Muskateer v. Balls Mahoney/Chilly Willy I'm sorry but Mahoney beating the piss out of the Muskateer or however the fuck you spell it was funny as shit. Then Chilly Willy almost takes his had off with a clothesline and it's even funnier. Then he almost kills himself on a plancha and I laugh harder. I mean how could you not? God damn the babyfaces are just reckless to the point of absurdity in this. Entertaining. Post-match they powerbomb a woman through a table..hmm Rhino/Justin Credible v. New Jack/Steve Corino (Falls Count Anywhere) This was a pretty entertaining wild brawl. I was kind of hoping the camera would follow Corino, but Jack and Credible really beat the piss out of each other and destroy all kinds of shit in thieer wake so it is hard to complain. Rhino looked like a fish out of water here.
