Posted August 22, 201015 yr comment_5454824 Well now this was awesome. Corino is a babyface here and he comes out and just goes straight at Anderson and they exchange some sweet punches. C.W. takes over working the arm and just beats the shit out of it with chairshots, post shots, punches, et. Corino fucking sells his ass off throughout totally dead arming it through all of his comebacks and C.W. just keeps coming back to the arm. They eventually end up on the floor and Victory gets involved but gets tossed through a table by C.W. This thing just keeps getting nastier and nastier and at one point Anderson just wildly hurls a chair at Corino's fucking face. They do more heel v. face ref stuff which sucks, but it actually leads to a couple of compelling nearfalls, a slugest finish that sets up the Corino win and a wild post match segment with New Jack ending up bloodied and giving a promo demanding Corino to team with him against Rhino and Credible later in the night. The ending was overbooked but it actually worked for me here so I'm going to give this a thumbs up.
November 29, 201014 yr comment_5458874 "King of Old School" Steve Corino vs. CW Anderson (10/20/00) Corino is now a babyface which he was pretty fucking great at and it shows here. CW goes the full Anderson route of working the arm and now this matchup takes on a hybrid Ole/Arn vs. Dusty 2.0 motif. Corino was awesome selling the arm and making his comeback with one arm then the bullshit started but it really didn't bother me a whole lot here leading to a fun stretch run and I liked this as well. This is a nomination.
May 27, 201114 yr comment_5472003 CW Anderson vs. Steve Corino (10/20/00) - I liked the way this starts off with Corino getting the best of Anderson. The brawling on the outside was really generic but once Corino gets his arm rammed into the ringpost, CW working out of the arm gives it bonus points. The only thing that bugs me is that Corino made his comeback a little too soon in the ring. Just the tease of CW ramming the arm into the chair bothered me since it would have made Corino’s one arm fighting even more credible. It got a little silly at the end with the ref fights and the interference so while I liked what the wrestlers were doing, I didn’t like all the extra crap.
