Opening to this is so fucking strange as Taz challenges Sabu they do the lights out spot Sabu is in the ring and it leads to the Eliminators running out in street clothes and jumping Sabu which somehow leads to a royal Rumble style Battle Royal.

Battle Royal

Tons of big dangerous spots though nothing tops Bubba dropping Guido six nine feet down onto his face on the floor. Brian Lee killed Bubba with a chokeslam through a table for an elimination. Actually the longer this went the more entertaining it got with Lee and Dreamer brawling, Spicolli being a cool fired up babyface, a fun Candido elimination and Sabu winning in a pretty neat fashion. Fun.

G.Q Gorgeous Quartmine v. Spike Dudley

No clue who was under the hood as GQ but they had a pretty good match despite some minor flubs. Spike took some crazy bumps and hit his offense very well. Another notch in Spike's belt.

Bubba Dudley v. D-Von Dudley

Jesus Bubba takes a scary bump on a belly to back. Bubba really was a freakishly good athlete at this point in his career hitting a hell of a drop kick early and just looking explosive in general. When this spills to the floor these guys really beat each other senseless including a nasty backhand from D-Von, same stiff slaps from Bubba, a bodyslam on the floor and a rail spot that almost tips the whole fucking thing down onto the front row. The chairshots in this were nasty as fuck too. This just got more and more intense and the spot with Bubba dropkicking the chair in D-Von's face as he lept off the ropes was sort of the pinnacle of that. They go on from there with slugfest spots, Bubba hitting a nasty powerbomb and then a Bubba cutter which D-Von appeared to kick out of even though it was the finish. Post match Bubba beats up Gertner. I'll say it flat out - this was a hell of a match. Just a bomb throwing sprint between two guys that looked like they were trying to kill each other with each blow.

Brian Lee v. Louie Spicolli

This wasn't very good. Spicolli was a good fiery babyface but Lee seemed uncomfortable in this.

Raven v. Mikey Whipwreck

This was just starting to get really good with Mikey having Raven on the ropes when his knee popped and they went straight to the finish. Too bad.

Rob Van Dam v. Chris Candido

I normally don't like standoff wrestling, but the early standoff spots in this were pretty impressive and looked more organic than what you normally see out of Van Dam. I also really dug the recovery spot on a semi-botched leapfrog as Candido just turned around and killed RVD with a powerbomb. I really enjoyed Candido in this as his offense looked good and his reactions to RVD's offense were pretty cool. RVD hadn't been totally ruined by Alfonzo yet, but he doesn't hit everything all that well and the fucking finish here is another bullshit ECW run-in deal.

Gangstas v. Eliminators

This was a clusterfuck and not even an entertaining one. I swear the Eliminators have some of the fakest looking shit in wrestling history.

Balls Mahoney v. Sabu

I really wanted this to be good as Balls still looked like Boo Bradley at this point and was working heel. Instead this sort of sucked. All of the contrived Sabu spots and these two didn't seem to mesh well together.

Shane Douglas/Francine v. Beulah/Tommy Dreamer

These two teams had a really good routine down, with the hot opening with big bumps and stiff blows from the men, some comedy/heel spots with the gals and then a finish. This was well executed stuff. Also loved the ref finding a chain on Shane during the pre-match check.
